Birder's paradise

One of our favourite stops on a Costa Rica birding expedition! Comfortable rooms on beautiful, hummingbird-friendly grounds surrounded by natural cloud forest. Got a quetzal on the morning tour and lots of other lifers on the reserve trails during the day. The restaurant was one of the best on our tour. Great staff. Can't wait to get back!

Incredible place, bad pillows

A very nice place, with very good service, the apple tour is incredible.
But the pillows are terrible, that took away many points for my family, since my mom, dad, and I felt it.

Fantastic Location, Excellent Birding

Fantastic onsite birding in the multiple gardens and trails, and excellent tour guides. We spent a lot of time with Melvin across multiple tours / days, and he was a highlight of the trip. It felt to us like he made it a personal mission to give an excellent birding experience, including a last-minute reschedule of our tours so we could see a baby quetzal being fed an avocado seed by it's dad! We would 100% recommend the location and especially Melvin as a guide. <3

Disconnecting in the middle of nature

It is a cozy place, surrounded by nature, ideal for sharing with the family, an excellent and very varied breakfast, during our visit we saw toucans, quetzals and many hummingbirds, inside the rooms there are no wine glasses (at least in ours). They have a cafeteria/lounge behind the restaurant with an impressive fire pit, ideal for sharing as a couple or with the family.

Outstanding visit!

Simply wonderful all around. The staff was great, the grounds were beautiful! Our room overlooked running river. Hummingbirds and other wildlife all around. Highly recommend!!
