Loved it but quirky

Beach was wonderful and monkeys so entertaining. Pool was unkempt but beach made up for it.walking distance to town.

Relaxing stay on the beach and in the gardens of this lovely hotel

Wanting to escape the ice and snow of Alberta, we selected this hotel because of its location near Manual Antonio National Park. We stayed in a room at the top part of the hotel with a gorgeous view of the area. The Costa Rican style breakfast of fruit, rice and beans, eggs, plantains, bread and coffee was delicious. Relaxing in the garden and under the shade of the trees by the beach was amazing for the monkeys and birds living in the area.The water was safe for swimming and some people were taking surfing lessons. Friendly staff greeted you at the restaurant that was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Hotel for sportsmen!

Hotel split in two by a road.
We had a large room "villa" located upstairs. Magnificent view but you have to deserve it....you have to climb an endless very steep staircase... not recommended for the elderly or not too fit! Exhausting. Otherwise ask for a room near the restaurant. Small bathroom.
The restaurant and beach are across the road: Common breakfast and avoid the average restaurant.

We liked our stay at Karahe Beach Hotel. The parking was good and available on the level of your room. The rooms aren’t fancy but clean and had all the necessities. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all requests. The beach is beautiful. We saw a variety of wildlife and the monkeys were very entertaining. Prices at the restaurant were a bit higher than average but breakfast was provided free.

3 nights in Karahe

I have been good to the stars... while the property is clean enough, customer care is not a priority and despite those staying at the hotel being marked with a bracelet that you are obliged to keep for the entire stay, the staff in the beach area does not reserve any extra attention to guests. The receptionist on arrival was super friendly and cooperative. The room is bare, shabby and uncozy although the bed is very comfortable. The beach in front of the property is worth the structure especially early in the morning. Good hotel location for visiting Manuel Antonio.
