Convenient apartment but no frills. Very close to beach

We stayed in a two bedroom with balcony. The apartment was what we expected. No frills. Beds were a bit hard and pillows too hard too for my liking. The bathroom had a washing machine. But it felt very basic. Not bad, but not luxurious either. They had dishwashing soap and hand soap but nothing else. So bring shampoo and conditioner if you need it as well as laundry detergent. The location is very very good. There’s a bio market across the street, many restaurants and cafes within a short walk and very close to the beach.

New modern apartments next to the beach

Modern new built apartments next to the beach. Separate bed rooms, for the family. Washing machine, kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer etc. Beds "so-so", otherwise really good, fresh and clean.
Only 200-300 meters from the 24 kilometer long white sand beach, so very convenient.

Noisy

Arrival on Aug. 7, 2016 for 5 nights at Sonia Apartment, behind and managed by Katrin Apartment. Cold reception asked us to wait for at least 15 minutes coze apartment not ready at 3PM, the official check-in time. On the 2nd floor right on the corner the Main Street and the railway so pretty noisy during the day. Hopefully we will have peaceful evenings for sound sleeping. No balcony. 2 bedrooms look at the main and noisy street. The shiny clear side. Living room with open kitchen at the dark side. Booked from booking.com more than 150€ per night ;-( bad deal !!!

Modern apartments close to the beach

These apartments are practically brand new and located in the same building as Sonia apartments, please bear that in mind when reading the reviews. Located 5 mins from the beach and the train station with quite a few restaurants nearby, however please bear in mind the nearest big supermarket is located 15mins walk away. However, there is a small market located across the road which sells fruit and veg and next to it a wine shop and organic shop which sell some groceries. There's also another small grocery shop located close to the train station. I would also mention that the apartments are in Bulduri, which is a neighbourhood of the city of Jurmala. This means the attractions such as the concert hall are located a good half an hour walk away, however it is a pleasant walk in a very pretty neighbourhood. You can also take a taxi there. Prices in restaurants vary, there is a pleasant cafe and restaurant right opposite the hotel with tasty meals at low prices. The apartment itself was spacious, with three bedrooms, kitchen and dining area and one bathroom. There is a balcony however it could only accommodate couple of people. The kitchen had a fridge freezer, hob with oven, cutlery, glasses and utensils. Please bear in mind there is no dishwasher. Bathroom had a shower only but it did have a washing machine. TV had local channels only but there is wifi. Building has a lift and the reception has lots of leaflets about the area.

I will return

New spacious apartments. Nice balcony and great private roof terrace for 3rd floor apartments. Good kitchen equipment but without dishwasher. Nice bathroom with laundry machine.
Why I didn't give more stars? Would appreciate 2nd bathroom, dishwasher missing, kitchen knife was not sharp...
I will return next summer!
