only nerves and complications with fraudilent behavior
They demand a deposit and additional fees under the pretext of refusing entry. The deposit is hidden on Booking.com, but the remaining fees are, of course, not disclosed. They are made up when cancellations are no longer possible and deducted from the deposit if they aren't paid in advance. Despite being informed by Booking.com before arrival that they weren't eligible to charge anything more, they still took the deposit. Also there were no linens.
The current rating for "booking" is highly inflated and potentially misleading. Furthermore, the host is an arrogant jerk; just read his responses to some of the honest comments on booking – such as "life is not a bed of roses," who feels he has impunity. He thinks that if he doesn't answer calls, even from Booking.com, and ignores the accusations, he'll get away with it. Fortunately, Booking.com intervened, and I got my money back.
The price, along with the fraudulent fees, is completely unrealistic. Anyone fully aware of what awaits them, such as paying a deposit for some dive and then paying additional fees, wouldn't choose this property, as there are plenty of other good-quality options in Riga at this price. From what I can see, this practice has been going on for at least several years, and I don't understand why this property is still listed on Booking.com.
