I look forward to my next stay at my: “Home Away from Home in Beirut”…
The Rotana Gefinor has now become our new: “Home Away from Home in Beirut”. We stayed there at the end of January 2026 and then a week ago. Both stays were outstanding.
The minute our driver pulled up to the entrance of the Rotana Gefinor, the Bellman came out to greet us and asked, ‘How was your trip Mr. Webber.’
When we approached the Front Desk they greeted me with ‘welcome back Mr. Webber’ and they the check-in process was fast and professional.
We were upgraded to a very nice corner suite and waiting for us in our living room were a very nice fruit basket, a plate of sweets, a bowl of fantastic tasting mixed nuts and a very nice bottle of St. Thomas Red Wine.
The view from our balcony was great as the balcony was facing the Mediterranean Sea and that afternoon there were several sail boats and a few cargo ships.
That evening we had a great dinner at the hotels Olive Garden restaurant.
The next morning, we had arranged for the hotel to reserve a car to get to the airport.
For some strange reason, the check-out procedure encountered a long delay, but once the Front Desk Manager intervened he was able to process the final invoice and payment in an expeditious manner.
All-in-all our stay was remarkably as we looked forward to our return.
When we returned from Cairo back to Beirut a week ago, I decided to spend the night at the Rotana Gefinor, as I do no like to travel at night in Lebanon.
This last stay was also excellent, as the hotels driver met us at the Beirut Airport and quickly drove us to the hotel. That night my wife had dinner out with a friend and so I decided to enjoy a fantastic dinner solo in the Olive Garden restaurant. The dinner was excellent as I stated with a tasty Lentil Soup, then the BBQ large Shrimps and a nice bottle of the famous St. Thomas White wine.
The next morning, we enjoyed the Olive Gardens Breakfast Buffet. Again, it was very, very nice.
I look forward to my next stay at my: “Home Away from Home in Beirut”…

Home is the Staff of Gefinor Rotana
Gefinor Rotana location is the best though traffic is congested
However the staff never fails you and always makes you feel at home. I visit Beirut more than 6 times a year and will NEVER change my stay in Gefinor Rotana

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very well maintained. The location of the hotel was very convenient.
The experience was phenomenal and a great value. The location of the hotel is convenient to downtown Hamra, and the AUB. The hotel is very clean with lots of amenities. The breakfast buffet was incredible

Less good every time I say. Becoming dated but owners prob want to wait and see if war breaks out again before making investments. Breakfast was good but in general the service has declined and people not as fondly and helpful as they used to be. Will try somewhere else on my next visit
