Located in Kaunas, Hotel Monte Pacis is in the historical district and on the riverwalk. Lithuanian Zoo and Tadas Ivanauskas Zoological Museum are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Shopping and entertainment center Akropolis and Liberty Avenue. Vytautas Magnus University Botanical Garden and Aleksoto Funicular are also worth visiting. This smoke-free hotel features a restaurant, a bar/lounge, and a conference center. Free WiFi in public areas, free self parking, and a free manager's reception are also provided. Additionally, a refrigerator in a common area, a business center, and conference space are onsite. The restaurant tasting menu was excellent, be sure to reserve it beforehand, you cannot just walk in. Also remember to mention if you want to dine tasting menu or regular food off the menu - we almost couldn't get tasting menu at all as receptionist didn't ask about this and this fact doesn't seem to read anywhere. Our plan was to get 4 course menu but we had to settle for 4 course tasting menu as we didn't tell about getting it beforehand. I don't know how you are supposed to know this, maybe the receptionist forgot to ask about it or assumed we did not want fine dining off the menu due to semi young age. We did get -10% off the 4 course tasking menu which I guess was ok effort to compensate for the loss of +2 dish fine dining. And the 4 dishes were solid sized and did not leave us hungry.
In general 4/5, one star fell off due to restaurant miscommunication.

The only challenge was that even the thick walls could not fully block out the nearby disco running to 5am.
