Great Location, Great Staff, Terrific!

My enjoyable stay in Vilnius was made better by staying at the Shakespeare Boutique Hotel. Its location was great and the staff was very helpful in answering questions and making sure my stay was special. Special mention goes to Vitas at reception and to Benas at breakfast who was very friendly. The place was very cute as all the rooms are named after famous Shakespeare related names or famous writers. The breakfast buffet was terrific. In all, I couldn't have had a more pleasant stay. I will certainly recommend the hotel for any friends heading to Vilnius!

lovely rooms, decor, feel, ambience, staff and food. Bang in the middle of the old town, id highly recomend this hotel.

Needs updating

The hotel is in a wonderful position and is very quirky however the cleanliness was lacking.
The bed covering was very decorative and heavy, once removed you could see the stains and underneath was a duvet smaller than the actual bed - we were thankful the weather was warm!
The cushions on the chairs were also decorative but stained and there was no fridge in the room.
Breakfast was served upstairs (no lift) and although it appeared there had been a few choices they had not been replenished so by 8 am choices were very limited.
I feel it needs an update in bedding and accessories and a complete overhaul of breakfast to justify the price and ratings.

Cleanliness is the most important factor for me, and this hotel met my standards. The standard room that I was in is quite small, yet adequate. It's similar in size to some small hotel rooms that I've stayed at in Manhattan. Be aware that some rooms have bathrooms with bathtubs, while others have showers. The air conditioning is turned on seasonally, when the weather warms up. I visited at the end of May, and it was not on yet. The outdoor temperature ranged from 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit, enough to cool a room properly by opening a window.
My room was on the first floor. I couldn't tell if the hotel had an elevator, from their website, but they do. The breakfast area is a very cozy place, with tables, as well as, couches and easy chairs.
The staff speaks English, as do most in the service industry in Vilnius, and are very friendly.
The hotel is well situated, giving easy access to any attraction in the Old Town section of Vilnius.

The room was too small and not very nice. The bed wasn't properly made because the blanket was too short. The breakfast could be better.
