Sisters travelled to Bikács

My sister and I stayed here for 3 days and requested a farmhouse room. The place is amazing: huge yard, we love the animals, we went to the animal feedings and made friends with the ponies in the afternoons.
The room has a real cosy country atmosphere with a tiled stove, wooden beams and wooden floors, we loved it, we walked to the main building for meals and spa, this didn't inconvenience us, we were happy about it.
We came with some reservations about the food, as I had read and heard reviews that we should not expect great wonders. Our experience was that the cooking was simply fabulous, the buffet was of good quality and delicious, something that you might not find in an a'la carte restaurant elsewhere. Everything was delicious, really, down to the last grain of rice, my sister tried the wild stew and I, as a vegetarian, was able to eat a variety of meals, with fresh salads every day, delicious roasted vegetables, veggie tortillas or broccoli casseroles. And desserts!!!!!...
We are satisfied to the max, we received 5* service, the country atmosphere, clean air and fantastic surroundings, and the personal conversations, smiles and care were just icing on the cake.
I would also like to mention Sandra in the restaurant, who works here with heart and soul as a substitute and is very kind and direct with the guests, and László, who drove us and recommended super walking places while we were talking.
We will definitely be back!

Destroyed holiday

Awful service, we paid ahead, months earlier than our booking date, then they increased the prices, but we didn’t want to go with the increased price, and they refused to give us back what we paid. They never gave back, and never responded our e-mails anymore!

best surprize of the season

We took a long weekend here with my family. I was a bit hesitating as this place was pretty new and nobody mentioned it to me. I was looking for a place with pool and animal farm for my kids while I found it on the internet. It was soo good, that we wanted to come back a few weeks later but there was no free room. The hotel is rather small, a very nice one, close to some woods. Everything was very good, starting from the room with a balcony, the proper size, perfect utilated, continuing with the personnel and the pool outside. Also, if you go there, try the wines, they are very good. I did miss seeing the spa center, as we spent most of our time outside next to the pool, but hope to do so next time. we were also afraid that we will not be able to sleep when we saw a wedding taking place there, but the party was in a tend further away from the rooms so it was ok. There is a nice lake, a huge place where the kids can run and play. There was a bar outside too, I wish that one was longer open. And maybe some toys for the pool :D...do not hesitate to try this place. :)

Reception awful! Everything else is a dream!

We’ve stayed for 3 nights, the scenery, location, entertainment and food is absolutely brilliant. Must say the best breakfast and dinner buffet we ever had, and we travel a lot. Fresh, HUGE selection, vegetarians can find what they need too. Bar expensive, but staff attentive.
Farm animals and view is like a dream, the employees working on the farm were the friendliest. Room was clean and well equipped.
There were quite a few negatives though that relates to receptionists. The lack of care and customer service is something that should be fixed.
1. Girl on her phone all the time, standing in front of her for a few minutes to ask something, she finally puts the phone down and answers our questions, making us feel like we shouldn’t bother her.
2. Cannot get things right!
a.) My mum asked them to arrange a cake for our 3rd anniversary and they confirmed it will all be done. Nothing happened.
b.) booked horse riding for 60mins, they arranged 30 mins and they forgot to add it to my final bill! Silly me told them at the end that they should charge me so I paid...
c.) taster from Saturday: asked them not to give us blood sausage and give plain sausage instead - they confirmed all will be done but they didn’t put the plain sausage and added the blood sausage...
3. Heating cannot be adjusted in the room, was superhot every night.
4. No hot water on their busiest night - this needs attention.
Get your reception right, customer service is the heart of a business!

Not too far from Budapest, way too relaxing

Amazing and flexible service, horses and (Hungarian) farm animals, beautiful view, fishing pond, relaxing atmosphere, relaxing sight, and home made taste food, really really good ones.
You can do horse-riding (a bit pricey, though), walking in the forest, or just lay at the lake.
