The stay was incredible. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful whenever I needed it. The ease, convenience and location of the apartment was excellent. The place was prime in the heart of the restaurant and tourist hotspot with access to everything at your fingertips. A great location to walk from to the main tourist sites and public transport stops less than 150m away which could take you anywhere in the city by tram, bus or metro. The room is perfect for a solo traveller or couple with kitchenette, shower and fantastic air conditioning. There is much more that i didn’t use. I would definitely stay here again.

Don't let the entrance fool you. Once inside the rooms are large, clean and updated. We really enjoyed the location too.

I rated La Fortezza Panzio a 4 out of 5. The apartment is beautiful and in an excellent location, though we did experience a few minor issues during our stay. It is conveniently close to souvenir shops, restaurants, trains, buses, trams, and the market. We were also within walking distance of two different Christmas markets, which was a real highlight. Communication with Melania was excellent and very easy via WhatsApp.
We stayed in a spacious, modern two-bedroom apartment with a queen-size bed, a bunk bed, and two bathrooms. While the apartment looked recently renovated, some of the modernization seemed unfinished or rushed. There was a hole in the ceiling near the doorway, the towel rack fell on my husband, the drain cover in the middle of the bathroom kept coming loose, and the toilet paper holder came off the wall. There was also a foul odor in the smaller bathroom that appeared to be coming from the drain.
Additionally, the steps leading up to the queen-size bed felt more like climbing a ladder than using stairs. This could be challenging for older guests or anyone with knee issues, especially since there was no banister to hold onto.
Despite these minor issues, we really enjoyed the apartment. With a few repairs and finishing touches, this would be an excellent place to stay.

Very nice, clean modern studio apartment with kitchen & updated bathroom. Comfortable bed in loft up steep staircase. Location is perfect for exploring on foot, close to famous Market and bridges to Buda side of River.
Street noise not a problem even though on pedestrian shopping mall with restaurants, etc. Night noise from emptying garbage cans and people in adjacent units. Second floor is up 30 wide curving steps.

I really like our host Melania the best. We arrived and had basic questions, we called and she answered promptly + was great help. The location was awesome, right in the heart of the city close to all sights by foot or metro. Best part? We had our flight pushed 24 hours and Melanie was our hero ensuring we can stay at the apartment rental an additional night with super ease of payment for the extra night. HIGHLY Recommend this place and staff! Oh the AC is amazing for hot Budapest nights. Trust me those can be rare (if at all) in Europe during the hot summers.
