Central, but very narrow
Plus:
- Location, location, location
In the middle of the eye if you are a tourist in Budapest - walking distance to almost everything. Absolutely great!
- easy and straightforward communication with the hosts - Great! Easy to find/give info
- Clean and nice
Plus/Minus:
Elevator in the building. Plus when it works, but it does only occasionally. The apartment is located in high 3rd floor (Veres Pálné utca 4.)
Minus:
- There's no room for 4 people even though it says so. For one night ok, but no more nights. The mattresses on the floor on the bench are ok. The sofa bed is not good. Works if you lie down with your heads each other’s way (due to the edges between the pillows). But the sheet covers only 2/3 of the bed so it gets narrow. Buy a proper top mattress and a lace that fits and it will get better.
But there's little space. If you put your luggage on the floor, there's no room to walk. If you put your luggage on the table, you don't have a table. Even if you rip up the sofa bed every night it's too crowded for four
- The apartment lacks smoke alerts. Also has no fire extinguishing equipment or escape path. There's a window there, but it's got a stove on the outside, so you can't get out. Burns it here is man stuck

Ok inside but access through garbage
I am reviewing the rental agency thst ones this place ans also the one at 63 Vaci street. A rental apartment by ‘Little Americas downtown’ . we rented and prepaid this place. So we had little choice and stayed here.
The place was recently renovated. It is also called ‘Las Vegas ‘ as that is the theme of this place with a
gambling machine in the unit... for fun and to give it a theme. The machine wasn’t functioning at all.
The place was clean. The kitchen area ok though the fridge was small and no freezer part. It was ok to make eggs in the morning or serve cold cuts etc as we needed.
There is one small but functional bathroom with a
stand up shower. No tub . It has very poor exhaust and it was always smelling musty. There’s no place for toilet paper except on a ledge behind your head.
There is no coat hook on the door to hang clothes but there are towel hooks for 6 towels.
The second bathroom is extra narrow around 2.5 ft wide and has a toilet and sink that is about 4 inches by 6 Inches. You can’t wash your hand without splashing the floor. Again the toilet paper roll can only be kept on a ledge behind the toilet seat. Hard
to reach. The mirror is useless for anyone shorter
than 5ft 10in. Both bathrooms have a motion detector
to turn off lights. So you have to wave your arms while in the tiny one or you are in pitch black. Neither
has a window. But supposedly do exhaust somehow to the outside. However other bad smells do come in from elsewhere in the building. the bedroom windows open on an inner tiny courtyard that’s not accessible and dark and dingy. But there is a strange painting on the wall as you see the solid wall.
The supposed master bedroom has a large bed but it is very low so older folk find it tough to sit down and get out of it. Also the metal bed frame is higher
than the mattrace and so it presses against your thigh when trying to get up. The mattrace itself is comfortable Once you are lying down. The room also
has a chest of drawers and two tiny bedside tables. Feels quite cramped though.
The second bedroom has the same kind of large
bed but the room is certainly very cramped. Not good for two adults. Perhaps two kids?! . The bed is
not accessible from both sides and it is barely
accessible on one side as it has about 7-8 inches of
clearance. Air quality is awful.
You enter the building from the very busy Vaci street and step into a hallway of garbage containers that stink. The courtyard is sad with some plants but
broken steps so watch out where you step.
Management provided a cleaner who was extremely efficient and very nice. She noted our concerns and
passed it on to management. While the inside of the apartment was reasonably remodelled in current ikea furniture .... and the price for 4 seemed
reasonable. But overall it was not worth it we are active seniors... and wish we didn’t rent this place but it was too late to change...
Don’t rent it unless you are a bunch of students who want to party.
