Excellent gem to shut out the noise of the world
The garden is very well kept and has the feeling of a manor garden with apple trees and benches all over. The receptionist is very attentive and she really makes the arriving guests feel welcomed. The rooms are designed to echo a bygone era of peaceful, yet laborious life. This setting gives the place a unique magic.
We ate breakfasts and dinners in the Panzio. The breakfast had changing and constant offerings. All in all we found it very delicious and varied. The lady preparing the meals is very-very nice and attentive, so if you don’t find anything you like, which is an impossibility in my opinion, she will gladly whip up something for you. The dinners offer meat and meat free versions, we tried both during our stay. The meals resemble a very well made and presented home cooked meal, so if you like Hungarian kitchen, you won’t be disappointed. The only thing they should solve is the service, when there are lots of people eating dinner the receptionist, who is also the server can be overwhelmed and that leads to drinks arriving later or attention not being made to every guest, but if you are patient like me you will understand the situation.
One day we rented bikes from the hotel, they offer four bikes, they are all good bikes to ride around the Őrség, so heavy recommend for this opportunity.
All in all the place is a real gem to stay, a hide away from the noise of our fast paced world.

Visited only for dinner.
Poor salad for high price as entree, also poor service for main meal. Absolutely dissapointment. Rate 2 because of the nice surroundings, kind service and delicious pálinka and dog friendly place.
