Wonderful experience
I can only recommend this wonderful guest house. From the booking to the actual arrival everything went really smooth.
We received our confirmation as well as some useful tips for our stay in the area from the owner. We were personally welcomed by one of the owners and even had a welcome pálinka shot with him.
The house was super cozy, fully equipped with everything you might need. The vintage, authentic country-side style was really welcoming and warm.
You can also make a fire in the garden if you want, you have equipment for everything and skewers as well.
There is no brekafast included, but you are welcome to go to the nearest shop just a few minutes away or a restuarant that serves breakfast just around the corner.
all in all we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend, even for bigger groups. there are 3 rooms, that can fit up to 10-12 people.

Pleasant stay with excellent wine
My friends from South Moravia well-known for vineyard wanted to get to know a different wine region. So I was looking for a stylish pension near town Tokaj. When I saw photos from Cziroka everything was clear. Reality was much more beautiful. Our communication with owner was also without complications as with manager Jozsef. We were ten member group and he informed us about everything in hungarian, english or russian language. He was greeted us with "pálinka" - brandy made from grapes.
Our mornings began at cozy big kitchen with breakfast from own stocks. Days in late November are shorts so we made a little trips around for example town Tokaj, Sarospatak with castle, where we have found local restaurants with local specialties like freshwater fish dishes, halaszle, duck liver... Meals were very tasty and portions were huge.
One evening we tasted wines in Jozsef family cellar. He told us curiosities about wine and it´s production. No. 1 was "5 - puttonyos aszú". Wines from slovak and hungarian Tokaj are world known also as “Vinum Regum, Rex Vinorum” - "Wine of Kings, King of Vines".
Great bonus was saturday country charity ball with live music and with raffle. We danced and talked drinking fine wine. Also came mayor of the village to our table to greet us and and gave us a bottle of excellent wine and spirits.

A Personal Tokaj
At first we were not sure about the location of the place (about 25-30 km from Tokaj town). However, the visit in Tolcsva and the guesthouse was great. József - who runs the place - explained everything we needed to know and also invited (more a humble suggestion) us to a wine-tasting in his cellar (just 5 minutes walk from the guesthouse). He was knowledgeable and we tried some really nice wines (he aims at expanding the business, and we really hope he will succeed).
Even though located a bit from Tokaj, Tolcsva is actually situated in the middle of wine country (the Tokaj-Hegalya region). There are nice hiking possibilities from the guesthouse. We visited Tokaj and one of the most famous/biggest wine cellar in town, and tried some amazing sweet Azsú and dry furmint whites. And we visited the quaint little museum (general + wine history). But it is the visit to József's cellar we'll remember.
Important to remember is that the guesthouse is a self-service place (bring your own food). It has everything you need to prepare cold and warm food. Wifi was perfect.
We were the first Swede's staying at his place, which has been mostly visited by Hungarians, however, GO!

Zamykany obiekt Cziróka Vendégház z parkingiem dla gości,usytuowany jest w spokojnej, cichej okolicy "zakłócanej" jedynie ptasimi koncertami. Apartament w którym mieszkaliśmy był czysty, dobrze wyposażony, z wygodnym łóżkiem. Współwłaściciel obiektu - Józef jest miłym, uczynnym człowiekiem. Za drobną odpłatnością, zorganizował nam w piwniczce degustację swoich win: Furmint, Muskat, Aszu, Harslevel.
W Tolcsvie, miłośnicy wina powinni odwiedzić Svede Laszlo przy Kossuth ut 27, gdzie przesympatyczny Węgier, zapraszając do degustacji w swojej piwniczce, poprowadzi Was, w świat najlepszych win tokajskiego regionu!
