Great winery tour, food and wine tasting

The owner came to transport us from the main road in Villany. We had a great tour by wagon of the vineyards.Amazing views. We then had a wine tasting and dinner. Excellent service, food. and of course wine. A must see and experience while in the area

Excellent restaurant food supported by interesting wine selection

After a lot of searching, I have been able to discover where to write a review on this hotel. We did not stay overnight however a group of friends including locals visited this restaurant, the food was relatively simple had a tremendous taste and served with professionalism and friendliness. The local musical group played interesting Hungarian music with a gypsy flavour. Well worth finding and certainly a restaurant I would revisit

If October then it's Villany, always spiced with something new

Every year we are in Villany for the 1st weekend after the red wine festival, and we always stay @ Bock, but we always try out something new. This year it was the wine tasting @ Polgar's. Not only we had a beautiful selection of wines, but we were also accompanied by the owner and his wife for about an hour. There was a lot of story telling, quite many wine, and we just had a great time! In terms of the wines, I particularly suggest the Chardonnay - Muscat Cuvee and the Kadarka. None of them belonged to my favorites before, but that has changed!

Amazing wine and best host family in Villany

Lovely family, definitely try the unique barique chardonnay! Nice traditional Hungarian food, served by the owners, lots of wine stories and anecdotes...these guys know how to entertain guests! Simple but very good value for money. Definitely come here rather than the big names!!

Best wines and hospitality

If you want to experience the real hospitality in Villany this is your winery! A guided tour with the winemaker is a must :) They will join your table and tell a lot about the wines you are having. They serve the best wines - go for the red ones - can't wait to go back again!
