Calm refuge

Well situated in Tana for sightseeing and shopping, this hotel offers a quiet respite. The attached restaurant is excellent, it has a pool and jacaranda- shaded courtyard where a breakfast buffet and afternoon snacks are served, and has a massage spa. The warren of passageways is lined with a quirky collection of antiques and artwork that informs your visit.

Unusual and always top-notch

I love this place; I knew it when it had only 8 rooms (50 now); this success is not a coincidence...
A top-notch welcome, a super friendly staff (some have been here for 30 years). Rooms that are all different, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and some very surprising. An accumulation of eclectic objects, collected over the years, a true little museum of real Madagascar.
Not to mention a restaurant that has held the top spot for a long time.
In short, if you want something other than a standard hotel, this is it!!!

A charming and relaxing place in the city

I had a very pleasant stay at Sakamanga Hotel. Everything was well organized and the atmosphere is really special. Even though it is located in the city, once you are inside, you feel calm and relaxed.
It’s a perfect place to disconnect and take a break from the noise and stress outside. The garden and the pool area create a peaceful environment where you can really unwind.
The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is also very good, with a nice variety of dishes.
Overall, everything went well during my stay. I would definitely recommend Sakamanga to anyone looking for a charming and relaxing place in Antananarivo.

Think about it!

Hotel in downtown, large family room, comfortable and clean. Very helpful and kind staff. Restaurant very good food at reasonable price. But too bad that many old French gentlemen stay in this establishment to take young girls to their rooms. It is very embarrassing and sad.
