Excellent team of Frangipani guesthouse
Excellent guest house on Fulhadhoo. We were there with the family (four persons) and booked two rooms for the period of more than two weeks.
Asif, owner, is the great person together with his team. They put all the efforts to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They have provided as with pick-ups to the beach on electric buggy which was very needed due to the leg injury of our family neighbor. The excursions provided by the guesthouse were excellent although the camera shooting was not the best during underwater snorkeling with manta, apparently due to technical problems which was a pity, we do not have a good video because of that (always better to take your own gopro with you).
The breakfasts were really great, two Indonesian ladies were cooking excellently (Nilu and Epi) and they have always been pleasant with the guests, always smiling and ready to assist at any minute. Unfortunately, the dinners were very expensive in the guesthouse - 20 USD per person, therefore we went to other places which were having lower prices. In case the dinners would be cheaper then the majority of guests had dinners there.
It would be also great to have TVs in the rooms :)
Some moment that could have been been improved on the island (not related to the guest house):
- the island has very small infrastructure with only three shops and very limited number of products/goods. So, it is better to take with you all you need at the holidays: small snacks, sunscreen, air matrasses etc.
- there are no properly made shades on the beach, hence there is a big obstacle to find a shade and not get burnt because of the strong sun. It would be great if the island community invests in some beach umbrellas or tents construction which would make the atmosphere of guests more pleasant and healthier (avoid hyperthermia and sun burns).
The holidays time and support of the Frangipani team was excellent.
