Rude staff in reception

A beautiful small room and definitely good value for money. The room was clean, and the toilet was well maintained.
However, my stay was seriously affected by the unprofessional behavior of a reception staff member on 27/01/2026 at around 9:00 PM. The female staff member, wearing a pink shirt and brown pants, displayed an extremely rude and dismissive attitude.
Upon arrival, there was no greeting. Even after I politely wished her good evening, she responded rudely and repeatedly demanded confirmation. I calmly provided my name and requested her to check the system, but she refused and continued asking the same question. When I attempted to provide my passport, she initially rejected it and stated that no information was available. Only after I calmly insisted did she check properly and find my booking in the system.
She then instructed me to communicate via WhatsApp. When I asked for the Wi-Fi password, she said “7040.” As I did not hear it clearly and politely asked her to repeat it, she responded loudly and angrily, aggressively spelling out the numbers. When I asked her to be polite, she reacted defensively. I then asked for her name, and she replied, “For what? No need to know,” which is completely unacceptable for front desk staff.
I remained calm and respectful throughout the entire interaction.
I genuinely like this hotel, which makes this experience even more disappointing. In contrast, the security staff at the entrance was exceptionally polite, warmly greeted me, and even opened the door. Staff like him truly represent proper hospitality.
Management should take this feedback seriously and take immediate corrective action. While the hotel itself is excellent, behavior like this can seriously damage the guest experience and the hotel’s reputation.

Worst hotel experience....350 USD/night

Really disgusting hotel. Smelled like mold. We did not sleep a minute the night we spend here. We had to visit the restaurant but we only had a coke and fries to avoid sickness. We paid 350 USD for one night!!

Really poor quality hotel for the money

We stayed here overnight and it was dreadful. We paid $160 for a premium room which faced onto a wall. The air conditioning unit was so loud we never slept all night. The man in the restaurant was very nice, food was ok but the cleanliness was very poor. The reception staff were not very helpful when we asked them to telephone the resort they said the resort did not answer. Then they said they did not have the number, we are staying in a resort within their group how could they not have the telephone number. The hotel rooms are nothing like the photos

Worst hotel

worst hotel I worked in my life.... staffs are being treated very very badly by the Sri Lankan general manager and his colleagues from his hometown …and also some of the Maldivian staffs are treating each other very very badly.... no discipline either..
