Great stay with a magnificent view of the Sarawak River
The check-in was fast and handled professionally by Mr Kristopher and Brodie. As a Diamond member, I was upgraded to a suite with both magnificent river and city views. I loved it. The room that I stayed for 3 nights had just been renovated, and I stayed for four days, enjoying the view every single day.
The breakfast is the highlight of this hotel. It has the best Laksa Sarawak I have ever tasted and Me Kolok is tasty too. Love
The lounge is a good feature of Hilton Kuching, with a great panoramic view of the river. Even though it was a little warm, the food selection and quality were good. The staff there are gems, especially Leya, Alees, and Brodie. They made us feel warm and welcome.
The only downside or issue I experienced was in the Executive Lounge during the second day of my stay. During cocktail hour,my friend and I asked for a table for three while waiting for a friend to join us. She was staying in a room with lounge access as well. The issue was the way it was handled by one of the lounge staff, Ms Shela . She informed me in a very cold and unprofessional manner, as if I was trying to bring an unauthorised person into the lounge. I gladly explained that my friend had her own room key and could access the lounge herself. Almost 3-5 minutes of explaining to her and finally shown to the table with her just standing at the exact spot at the middle of the lounge which make me sitting at a wrong table and the rest is history…. I felt really unwelcome. Perhaps she was not in the mood that day. IDK. However, I noticed that she greeted other guests, especially Caucasian or non-local guests, with a different tone. This would not normally be the case at Hilton Kuala Lumpur ( AMAZING), Hilton Petaling Jaya, or other Hilton properties tht I have visited. I hope this was an isolated incident, but perhaps refresher customer-service training would be helpful.
Other than this, Hilton Kuching is a great hotel and one of the best places to stay in Kuching.

Brilliant breakfast, excellent location
We stayed for three nights in a Club Level room and couldn't praise the Hilton Kuching highly enough. Our room was spacious with a lovely city view, and the Club Lounge was excellent, with complimentary food and drinks throughout the day.
The staff were incredibly welcoming, including a member of staff who greeted us whenever we came and went from the Club floor.
Breakfast was a real highlight, with a huge choice of Malaysian and international food.
A fantastic hotel and somewhere we'd happily stay again when visiting Kuching.

Comfortable City Hotel With Resort Facilities
I’m a Gold member and because we booked an extended stay, the hotel upgraded us to a Suite - which was large, simply furnished and very comfortable.
The buffet breakfast downstairs gave an extensive spread and it was very popular. We could also take breakfast in the Executive Lounge on the twelfth floor, which had a smaller selection - including freshly prepared eggs - and also offered a calmer environment. After breakfast the lounge offered soft drinks, biscuits, cookies and nibbles. In the early evening there was a range of hot and cold dishes together with soft drinks and alcoholic beverages,
We had a family meal in Toh Yuen, the hotel’s Chinese restaurant. The food and service were both very good - and at the end, a 25% discount for Gold members came as a surprise bonus.
The hotel’s gym is big and well equipped. The outdoor pool is large and deep and I used it for a daily swim. There are also children’s pools and a children’s club room.
A big plus is the hotel’s location with direct access to the Kuching Waterfront. An excellent place for walks in the cool of the morning and early evening - well recommended.
Service is good throughout the hotel. Aaron was very efficient at check in and check out. All the Lounge staff were helpful - thanks to Petros, Egan, Alessandro, Putri, Liya, Sheila and to the staff working in the upstairs kitchen. Thanks to the housekeeping staff - Hidayah, Mariyati and Marcella - and others I did not bump into. And thanks to Alexson and Faisan at the pool - especially for the refreshing plate of melon after a swim.

I just wrapped up another stay at the Hilton Kuching, and the recent renovations have completely transformed the place. It looks fresh, modern, and stylish, easily solidifying its spot as the absolute best hotel in the city.
What really makes this hotel special, though, is the people. The hospitality here is on another level. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, every single staff member we ran into was genuinely friendly, smiling, and always ready to help. They really make you feel welcome and taken care of from the moment you walk through the doors.
Another huge highlight is the breakfast buffet at the Riverview Cafe. The selection is large, offering a great mix of local Sarawakian flavors and international favorites. Everything tasted amazing, and eating with that view of the river is the perfect way to start the day.
The location is also perfect—right on the riverfront and a short walk to everything you want to see in town. Make sure you book a Riverview room, these rooms offer he best view in town and at night have access to the free light show on the river.
