Tranquility in a package
Beautiful resort with natural wooden two story accommodation. Really in keeping with the natural feel of the environment. Beautiful landscaping around the complex and well maintained. Two amazing pools, beds and seating well spaced and not over crowded. Lots of restaurants to choose from, each offering lots of different dishes. Private beach area attached but this is accessible from the outside. The beach in front of the hotel was a lot more pleasant than further along into the town where it was busy, noisy and dirty. Staff very helpful and friendly, always smiling and happy. Couldn’t ask for anything more. We were so happy here would definitely come back again.

Not a great place
Have you ever seen a 5-star hotel charge a customer for a broken IKEA glass?
I received a call from the front desk informing me that a glass had been accidentally broken and that I needed to pay 20 RM for it. paid the 20 RM — and it turned out to be the last money I spent at that hotel.
Regardless of this incident, the hotel itself is okay rather than great. Breakfast quality is low, dinners are decent but portions are small, and the facilities are average at best, lots of mold and humidity (see pictures of the room)
For the price, I'm confident guests can find better elsewhere.

Poor check in experience and delayed room allocation
Despite arriving early and requesting an early check--in (which is not the concern here), our room was still not available at the designated 3:00 p.m. check-in time. We were simply told that it was “in progress,” with no indication of how much longer we would have to wait.
The front office staff member was very matter-of-fact and showed little empathy or courtesy regarding the delay. What was particularly disappointing was that we observed other guests arriving after us being allocated their rooms, including guests who arrived as late as 2:00–3:00 p.m. and appeared to be checked in immediately.
Unfortunately, this was our first experience at the resort and it left a very negative impression at the beginning of what was meant to be a relaxing family holiday. First impressions matter, and this experience left a bad taste that cannot simply be undone.

Lovely resort!
REALLY lovely place to stay - clean and well kept everywhere. We encountered one small maintenance issue and it was immediately rectified. Gorgeous pools! Staff very friendly and helpful. Made to feel very welcome. Plenty of sun beds around the pools… would highly recommend to stay here! Walking distance to restaurants outside of hotel too

Great location, fun stay
Pelangi was just 10-15mins fron the airport and located at the main beach area for water sports. Room was clean but some of the amenities may not be at the tip top condition.
Overall, a relaxing and fun place to stay.
