Great stay. Good place, clean and very nice interior. Very close to attractions area.

It’s haunted!!!!!
I had a terrible experience at the langkawi Daun resort and want to warn anyone going there . Firstly, the room was very dark and barely had any light. Moreover when we arrived the bedsheets were dirty and we had to tell them to change it. Lastly the chalet was haunted!
How we found out. The door to the upstairs room was partly glass and on our last day there when we woke up the the glass and all the mirrors in the upstairs room was kind of frosted and on the main entrance door to that room there was a heart drawn on the frost. I did not think much of it but no one could have made that heart as everyone was asleep. Anyways we left to go island hopping and did not think anything of the heart but when we returned at night that is when the real story started! When we came back me and my sister went up and the door to the entrance was frosted much more than earlier that morning; and by frosted I mean I could literally see ice crystals on the door. Moreover that exact same imprint of the same heart from earlier that morning was on the door in the same spot as visible as ever, but that heart was ignored yet again. I called my mom upstairs to show her how cold our room was compared to the rest of the chalet. She checked the AC remote and saw that it was on 16, but she swore she changed the temperature to 24 right before we left, we didn’t spend much time thinking about that as it was almost midnight and we all wanted to change and sleep as we had a flight early the next day. My mom went down and my sister went to the toilet she came out because there was some insect in the pot and she was scared, so she went to ask if she could use my parents washroom downstairs. I went to our toilet to see the insect and as it was dead and in the toilet I flushed it and went down to tell my sister it was gone and she could use the washroom. When we both came up the trash can was in the sink and the seat of the pot was put up!!!! When I went down I swore that the rash can was in the corner and seat was down , we got really scared and went down to tell our parents then we left. After talking to a couple people we found out that place was known to be haunted!!!!

Room for improvement
Value for money resort with a private villa style stay. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights in the Salam Suite and really enjoyed it. Compared to our usual stay at Bon Ton this felt more comfortable as the suite is fully sealed so no insects getting in.
The only areas for improvement would be adding a TV with channels in the room and better maintenance of the river area. There was a strong stench whenever we stepped outside which was a bit unpleasant.
Breakfast is continental with some local kuih that changes daily. Overall we loved the place and will definitely be back again next year.

Amazing experience ever. This was our first time staying at Daun resort and we did not regret it.
First we stayed in the normal rooms and they were nice and clean, we only had problems with the washrooms which were in the basement but overall good.
Then we booked villa and it was so comfortable and spacious. Loved it
And the staff were the best part about this resort. They were all so so nice and friendly, we truly felt welcomed. They extended our check out time till 5pm! We would 100% book it again!

The toilet and shower area is extremely dirty. The dustbin is not cleared before we checked in. The necessities are not provided. Air-conditioning is not cold enough even though the temperature is already the lowest. I doubt the cleanliness of the bedding and other facilities in the resort.
