Excellent and Memorable

From the moment of arrival through our dining experiences at lunch, dinner, and breakfast, everything was excellent and exceeded our expectations. This was our third stay, and we were once again greeted with the same warm hospitality that makes this hotel so special.
Special thanks to Hammed, Hassrul, and Anna from the Front Office, Najmie from L’Orangerie, and Rohan, Daniel, Faiz, and Bard from Pantai Grill for their outstanding service and genuine care throughout our stay.
Thank you all for making our visit so memorable. Your dedication and professionalism are truly appreciated, and we look forward to returning again in the future.

Best hotel in Malyasia

We had a wonderful 3 days staycation with my wife in that lovely hotel.
Only 80+ rooms so it's really calm and quiet, perfect for Honeymoon vibes and taking time for ourselves.
The room is beautiful, the hotel too and the private beach just like in a dream.
The staff is the best. The butler was very nice and helpful and everyone was super friendly. They even sang a song when we left.
Wonderful breakfast both buffet and A la carte.
Fully equipped gym.
Will be back

After all, it is the worst level in St. Regis history. Low-quality hotels not worth the brand name

I stayed with high hopes for the brand St. Regis, but frankly it was the worst and most disappointing stay I have ever had.
Where has St. Regis brand value gone?
Of course, there were good points such as the location as a resort and the beach atmosphere. However, the more it exceeds that, the more problems there are with service quality, space management, room maintenance, and staff considerations. It is far from the standard expected from the brand name St. Regis, and when you check in expecting it to be a luxury hotel, you are left feeling uncomfortable.
About restaurant facilities
1. Beach Restaurant
I only used it for one day. It rained, so I quickly decided to eat beach restaurant food in an indoor restaurant. I don't think it's a matter of the weather in itself, and I don't blame the response itself for switching indoors. But again, it took more than 20 minutes to serve alcohol. I feel that the slow serving of drinks in restaurants as well as bars is not a one-off problem, but an operational challenge for the entire hotel. Keeping people waiting for a drink at a resort dinner breaks the rhythm of the meal and the flow of conversation. If you're a luxury hotel called St. Regis, you should design your experience to include not only the food itself, but also the timing of the drinks served and the flow of service, but it wasn't up to the standard.
2.Breakfast
It was quite lacking in terms of expectations. At first glance, the fact that champagne is served at breakfast is fascinating. However, the second helpings were very slow, and when we asked for them, they didn't bring them. Even if I tried hard to ask for it, I was limited to about four drinks, and the end time of 11 o'clock was reached. One day I asked for more champagne, but they didn't bring it. If you're selling champagne itself, it should be followed up and even offered a refill. As long as it's there, the first bowl is not enough for a breakfast service in a luxury hotel. Some couple YouTubers said that the omelettes were cold, but the omelettes and steaks were served warmly during this stay, which was a good thing.
However, even if some of the food was fine, it wasn't enough to overturn the overall impression of the service.
3. Bar
The experience was terrible. I used it twice during my stay, and it took me more than 20 minutes each time to order a drink before it was served. It wasn't crowded, and the speed at which it was served at the St. Regis bar was hard to comprehend. It was very cold in the store and we asked for blankets, but they didn’t bring them on the first day. On the second day, instead of the usual blankets, they were given towels to use outdoors and on the beach. As a bar in a luxury hotel, I found it extremely insensitive to guest comfort.
Even more uncomfortable was the bar's seating guidance and space management. Even though there were many empty seats, a group of Chinese people were ushered into the seat in front of us. The group spread out fried chicken and hamburgers that appeared to be delivered externally, such as Grab, and began eating them as they devoured. In that moment, the atmosphere of the bar completely broke down, becoming more like a cheap food court than a luxury hotel bar. The nationality itself is not the problem, but rather the hotel's decision to allow such behavior in the bar space of a luxury hotel, and then to show it right in front of existing guests.
I complained to the bar staff, and the explanation was that they wanted the seat. However, if you are in a St. Regis bar, there should be consideration and confirmation for existing guests before showing a large group of people in front of already seated guests when there are enough other seats available. Even more so, if you allow guests to bring in meals like outside delivery, you have to question the quality of the hotel's bar operations and space management. It was a very uncomfortable and completely wasteful time, with absolutely no silence, atmosphere or moderation that we wanted in a luxury hotel bar.
While it is global standard knowledge that there are problems for the lower levels of Chinese, there are also problems with service strategies, decision-making and customer service revenue sets at the food court level, not at the bar.
I've never experienced a food court bar like this.
Room Facilities
There were a lot of problems. There's no bidet in the room, but I'd say we can't help it. This is not a general problem due to differences in countries and equipment specifications, but it is a big downside for Japanese guests in terms of comfort.
1. Noise
This time it was a suite rule, but the voices in the hallway were well-voiced inside. During so-called sleep, we are unable to sleep or are woken up by this buzzing voice, the voices of people who don't care about their surroundings.
2.Free drinks
Basically only water. Drinks in the fridge should be considered a paid minibar. Again, this is somewhat distant from the "clever room experience" we expect from the St Regis brand.
3.Balcony
Cleaning and inspection conditions are also the worst. The cushions on the balcony sofas were like insect webs, and I obviously felt they weren't inspected enough. The presence of insects in the resort is understandable. However, it’s not a matter of the natural environment, but of room management, that leaves something like a bug’s nest on cushions that guests come into direct contact with. Balconies are an important part of your resort stay and should be a place to relax with views of the ocean and gardens. But I didn't feel comfortable in that condition.
Even ceiling fans felt uneasy. The fan itself spins, but there is a thumping noise and the spin seemed unstable. It wasn’t just a matter of concern for the sound, but I was so worried that it would fall. As a luxury hotel room facility, I find myself questioning the very fact that guests are allowed to pass through in this state.
The window panes overlooking the ocean from the living room had handprints and were never wiped down during my stay.
4.Sink
The sink also drained very poorly, which was stressful even for everyday use. "When you have multiple of these minor equipment failures, you can't help but feel that the overall standard of cabin maintenance is low, rather than ""just happens to be one problem."""
If you look not only at this sink, but also at every corner of the room, there are many areas where dirt has accumulated, so you need to spend time avoiding looking.
On the other hand, there were good things about the beach.
About the beach
There were a lot of sunbeds and it was basically pretty empty, so we didn't have to struggle to save space. It was comfortable as a resort to be able to lie free. Another good thing about the beach was that the staff handed out cold water. We appreciate the service of bringing water often in the heat, which was one of the few positive experiences in the hotel. I appreciate the tranquility of the beach itself and the uncrowded atmosphere.
However, just because the beach is good doesn’t mean your overall stay will be appreciated. You don't just expect St Regis to have the location and facilities, you expect the overall perfection of the resort, the consistency of service, the attention to staff, the well-maintained rooms and the quality of the food and drink experience. In that sense, the hotel fell far short of expectations. "Whether it was bars, restaurants, breakfasts or guest rooms, there was still frustration at the basics of thinking, "Well, a luxury hotel should be built."""
Comprehensive
We were surprised to find such a low-quality St. Regis. Slow service, failed bar space management, lack of inspection of guest room facilities, and lack of staff consideration are simply not worthy of the St. Regis brand. I feel that this is not just a matter of one staff member, but the quality of the overall operation of the hotel and therefore the management quality at the local and territory manager level.
At least I don't want to revisit it, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.
Langkawi has other luxury resort options. Choosing St. Regis based on brand name alone should be a huge disappointment.
It's a luxury hotel, and this is...
