Peaceful Nest in Malaysia
Michelle and Ryan welcomed us for a week in this hidden gem that is Betik Gardens.
Our stay here has been the cosiest we had in Malaysia as it is one of the most peaceful place we found: it is surrounded by jungle and the Kelantan river, only "disturbed" by wildlife. The bed was cozy, comfortable and smelled amazing, the shower was spacious, with hot water and good pressure. The room overall was spotless, with functioning AC and fan, kettle, iron. In terms of facilities, we had access to the swimming pool which is one of the highlights of Betik Gardens, to a kitchen for when we wanted to cook which a stove and refrigirator which was really convenient, we were also allowed to pick some fruits and herbs in the garden. Breakfast was offer every morning with unlimited bread, crackers, jam tea, coffee and filtered water available throughout the day. Another highlight of Betik Garden is its owners, Ryan and Michelle who are caring and will do their best to ensure you an unforgetable stay. If we come back to Malaysia we will definitely return to Betik Gardens.

Lovely little riverside resort
We have travelled extensively around Malaysia over the past years and we know that good accommodation is hard to come by in rural areas, such as in Kelantan. Betik Garden is an exception to this. The small-scale resort has a unique location, on the shores of the mighty Kelantan River. We stayed in the river side cabin. The cabin itself comes with a comfortable bed, a powerful shower and good AC. We also liked the communal areas such as the kitchen, the covered dining area and the pool. Our room and the rest of the resort are very clean. The best of the resort are its host Ryan and Michelle. They make sure you will have a comfortable stay. Michelle and Ryan are truly hospitable and know exactly what seasoned travellers need. Throughout our stay we enjoyed the personal touches and the conversations with our hosts. Also, they provided us with lots of local tips, which made our stay more interesting. If you are travelling in Kelantan, don’t hesitate and stay in this wonderful resort. Highly recommended.

Serene nature stay with comfort.
Betik Garden Home is built on a higer ground just besides Kelantan River,definitely the place to go if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life.Betik Garden Home not only have a swimming pool but also have electricity provided all day and night,rooms have bathroom,water heater and air conditioned.
The entire compound are planted with many papaya, banana ,rambutan trees and also many other kind of herbs,vegetables and flowers.Food is not a problem here as the friendly host Michelle and Ryan are more than happy to serve them with a small fee.
Betik Garden Home also have a separate area for drinking with beautiful river view, listening to some chill music with few chilled drinks just before sunset are so wonderful and tranquility.
If you are more into nature and adventure,you may also rent camping tent from them to sleep under the stars and watch fire flies at designated plot in Betik Garden Home.For activities,you may dip in the swimming pool, cycle to the nearby town, fishing by the river, hiking to a temple on the hill for mediation , for me is "Dolce far niente"
Betik Garden Home is definitely ideal for a group of friends or family, but if you are a solo traveller like me you will never feel lonely too as cute Jaynee and talkative Jayden,the owners children will keep you entertained all the time.I felt I am not a guest here but a family member with such warm hospitality from Michelle and Ryan,thank you so much for the pleasant stay and wonderful memories.

Perfect place for healing
This place helped me to heal myself... The nature.. The owners..they really tooke care of me...
And Kids.. Puppies... The food...
And the vibe there...
totally what I was needed..
I'm really grateful to meet these amazing people...
When I go back to Malaysia... I will visit them again....

Reggae Vibe in Kelantan
Went twice to this place, explored them via Workaway working holiday app, was surprised there was working holiday opportunity in Kelantan, and I was told that they are surprised too to have a Kelantanese asking for working holiday XD
The owner, Ryan, Michelle and both of their kids are super friendly, even though I'm travelling solo, there were no any awkward moment during the stay, only warmth and relaxing vibe. They made me feel I'm their real friend once I touched down their place. Love the environment and the authentic Malaysian style "Kampung" stay right beside the Kelantan River. If you're adventurous enough, you could ask to stay in the tent on the raft, or have a boat ride to the sand island in the center of the river.
A must go place if you're a Reggae fans, I bet Ryan is hard fans of Reggae music, even their chalets are named from the song name by Bob marley. I remembered "Buffalo Soldier" and "Three Little Birds".
A great place for friends and family to gather and relax, highly recommended.
