Perfect place for a stop before the tioman ferry.
That's pretty small, and, for me, it was more looking like a sharehouse than a backpacker hostel.
I liked the atmosphere. I liked the room. I liked all this drawings on the wall...
The hostel guy hasn't been really talkative, but everything went fine.
I stayed in a 4 bed dorm, Had a double bed. Good AirCon. Thin walls.
The place in general was very clean.
The only thing i didn't really liked was that Shower & Toilet was in the same room... Can be annoying when someone like to have a 30 min shower ...
The Wifi was working well. There was a breakfast ready in the morning (Even when you leave at 6am to get the ferry).
Lot of shops & restaurants around. And only 6-7 minutes walk from the jetty. (Maybe 10 ... Yeah ... Depends how fast you're walking ! :p)
Definitly recommend this place.

OK for a night. Two might be too much
The WIFI was good, even in our farther room (No3). The place only accepts cash, plus they have a strict no deposit no stay rule, so be prepared to hand over 30MYR extra on check in. I would stay there again but only in a pinch.

Been ROBBED and management doesn't care
We were ROBBED and staff didn't care, even called us liars. Manager didn't want to talk to us (staff called her).
The policy of this hotel is to leave the shoes outside (still the hotel property, a place to leave the shoes between two main doors) and go around the hotel with flipflops that hotel provides. We came from buy our ferry tickets and removed our shoes and left them in the shoe tray, together with the other guest shoes. An hour later we wanted to go for dinner and my husband shoes were not there!! Somebody took them. We asked the staff and didn't know anything and said "it must be the Chinese guest" so we went dinner with the hotel flipflops as we didn't have more shoes. When we were back and all guests were back we checked and the shoes weren't there. We asked the staff what the hotel would do about it as they are no cheap shoes and I don't think is fair to make people leave the shoes outside when is not safe. We asked to talk to the manager and apparently said that doesn't want to speak with us and that we are liars. Honestly? You think I'm gonna lie about I have no shoes?? We were so angry. But the worst is yet to come...we realized they have a security camera in the main door so it would tell us the truth and see who took it and that we are not liers... You know the answer? "Well, we have security camera but we don't have access". Ok so 1st if something happen to any guests, no worries there is no cameras available to help you. This place is not safe at all then. 2nd you call me lier but don't want to even check if it's true. So is it maybe because it was you the one who took them?
We are waiting to have an answer from booking.com to see if there is anything we can do but I don't think is fair at all that this hotel doesn't take any responsibility or even day SORRY. Very disgusting.
And then, there is only 1 toilet for men and 1 for woman that is dirty and is to be shared by many other guests, there is like 4 private rooms and dorms...so imagine.

Don’t even bother booking
On arrival, we were told the property had been overbooked and was therefore full for the day. I confirmed that our reservation had, in fact, been received.
1) The hostel did not bother to inform us that they could not honour the booking at any time prior to our arrival - though this was well within their control. It appears they were quite happy to allow us to arrive in person, tired and close to midnight, and to inform us on the spot.
2) The gentleman at the front desk was, to his credit, quite apologetic, saying “Whenever this happens, we will always find the guest a new room.” And proceeded to kindly walk us across the street (again, at midnight) to an alternative, similarly priced accommodation. But... “whenever this happens”??? That’s basically an admission that they frequently overbook to the point that it is a common occurrence.
In sum - just don’t bother. There are many cheap alternatives in the area that will probably actually honour your reservation.
