Unacceptable Delay at Check-in

The hotel states that check-in starts at 3:00 PM, however when I arrived on time, the front office informed us that the room would only be ready between 4:00–5:00 PM.
There was no prior notification given before arrival, which was disappointing as I had planned my schedule around the stated check-in time. After a long journey, having to wait an extra 1–2 hours with luggage was inconvenient.
The explanation given was that rooms were still being prepared, but no alternative solution or compensation was offered. A simple update in advance or better communication would have helped manage expectations.
I would advise future guests to be cautious and not rely strictly on the stated check-in time if you have tight travel plans.

Location suitable for a staycation and quick getaway. Near local food courts and massage areas. Money exchanger also conveniently located nearby.

I have been staying this hotel while every time travelling to Miri. Great location with easy to look for food and light grocery shopping nearby the hotel. The hotel offer guests gym, sauna and swimming pool facilities. However, the operating hours for this facilities from 10am to 6pm only, hopefully can extend longer hours for the guests convenience.
