Super staff + Guides go Beyond to ensure Wildlife experience is Awesome
As a family of five , we had an Awesome experience staying at BJA. We booked 3N4D to really immerse ourselves in the wonder and beauty of the Kinabatangan and were not disappointed. Our guide Mr Ky is truly knowledgeable and went out of his way to share his passion and love for the nature and wildlife here. We were so lucky to spot the Big 5 and in fact enjoy watching elephants graze and bathe on four of our boat trips! Our rooms were clean and generous in size and the food was delicious and plentiful. BJA has a warm, welcoming atmosphere thanks to staff who go beyond to make this unique experience so memorable for travellers like us. Playing volleyball with all the staff was another highlight! I highly recommend this extra special adventure.

Depreciation by the management
Had announced in advance that I was a wheelchair patient. All they thought about was money. Stayed 6 days / 5 nights on room and terrace because there were too many stairs. Even going to the river to do a safari was way too dangerous for me. We also had to pay extra for the 5 nights for air conditioning which amounted to 350 € If you wanted to have a chance to see the elephants there was almost 50 € per person As far as my wheelchair was concerned they claimed that I had not reported it while I had the proof on my phone that I reported it several times

Borneo Jungle Adventure was just amazing.
Spent two days in the rainforest, having Mark as our guide.
He did the best job trying to find and learn us about all the animals, plants, flowers and trees.
We managed to see a lot, crocodiles, birds, monkeys, elefants and a orangutan
We went for optional Elephant Search, Gomantong Caves and Night Cruise.
Especially the night cruise were quite amazing.
We can highly recommend Borneo Jungle Adventures.

Choose another lodge for your vacation
This was by far the worst overnight stay I've ever experienced. The room was filthy, with visible mold and unidentified growth on the bedroom walls and bathroom floor. It clearly hadn't been cleaned properly and, in my opinion, posed a serious health risk.
The food was equally disappointing. We were served chicken nuggets and fries for breakfast, which was completely unacceptable and not what we expected.
I'm genuinely surprised this property has received positive ratings based on our experience. I would not recommend staying here.
The only positive part of our stay was our boat guide, Kay. He was incredibly talented. He made the boat tour enjoyable and was the highlight of an otherwise very disappointing experience.

Wow what a team , what a place , what a trip !
I don’t really think that I can put into words just how much we enjoyed spending part of our trip with Marc and the rest of the team , wow,wow,wow !
Marc is so passionate , knowledgeable and nice guy that between him and Rossi we saw everything that we could possibly ask for ! everyone there is a pleasure to deal with , so kind and the food was great .
Please do not take notice of some of the less favourable reviews on this site - I have no idea what these people expect while staying in the middle of the jungle . If they wanted luxury they can pay for luxury elsewhere but this place is authentic , it’s was clean , basic and all about the animals and ensuring our stay was everything we hoped for .
I cannot thank you all enough for making our 3 days magical that we spent with you , and I must also thank Nicole for being so responsive when hounding her via email .
If you are thinking of staying on the river , stay here and you will not regret it !
