Great hotel in a good location - food was good and plenty choice -perfect if staying with family. Comfortable stay and nice atmosphere - a special thank you to Loubna who accommodated us very well and help meet our needs.

Could be a great hotel! With a change of management.
This hotel has so much potential to be great but clearly doesn’t have the right people in management to make that happen! If whoever is running that kitchen (not front of house, the actual kitchen) was put in charge of the hotel I think it would be amazing!
We had a good time. We didn’t pay much so didn’t expect 5 star but I’ve stayed in much better 2 and 3 star accommodation. It’s just annoying that they could do so much better. Everyone we spoke to felt exactly the same. They all had a good time but wouldn’t come back.
My Pros and cons!
❌ Arrival was chaotic as so many people have previously said. Filling in paper forms etc.
❌Once room was ready we had help to take the cases but on arrival to the room there was no bed for our son. We got told it would come. It didn’t. Third time of asking and it arrived. We also didn’t have any towels. Eventually got 2 but there were 3 of us. Ended up just taking our own from the maids trolley as they never left us 3. Only ever 2 cups in room. Just simple things that we shouldn’t have to ask for - not rocket science!
❌ The room wasn’t very clean. I don’t think they have bleach in Morrocco?? I found a lot of areas of the hotel to be quite dirty, including pool area and restaurant. Never saw the sunbed area being cleaned. Sunbeds had bird poo on them.
❌ Pool had lots of tiles missing and isn’t very clean. Clearly no maintenance.
❌ Pool bar - shocking drinks choices and service. I only realised on the last day that one of the staff members is supposed to be the lifeguard. Not sure what he was doing when I jumped in to save a 7 year old boy who had got into difficulties.
❌ Jet 2 premium package. Don’t bother Everyone with the black wristbands felt the same. Got my free bottle of wine on about day 4, again after asking for it.
❌ Drinks choices at the bar are rubbish. No snack bar so you have to go to main restaurant for lunch which is a bit annoying when you’re at the pool. No ice creams etc through the day. Cakes available at 4pm.
❌ Access to beach is dangerous. Just build some steps!
❌ The premium bar/cabana area at the beach front is so lovely but no one ever there as they charge for it. Never actually saw it open. Such a shame.
✅ The food is the best thing about this hotel. It is amazing! So many amazing choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Couldn’t fault any of it. All the chefs very friendly.
✅ Animation team were great with our son. The shows are interesting to say the least but they try!
✅ Slide pool is great. My son loved it.
✅ View from sea view room was nice.
✅ A lot of the staff are friendly. Not all, but a lot of them. Reception staff are useless. They need to take lessons from the chefs. It seems half the staff work really really hard and the other half do nothing.
✅ Gardens are lovely.
✅ quiet pool looked lovely if you don’t have children.
The management will write their usual Chat Gpt response to this review as they have with all the others saying they will speak to the various departments and they will take my comments on board but it’s clear they are not taking any previous comments on board and therefore the hotel will always remain a ‘could be so much better’ hotel.

We would, however, like to clarify one point. Contrary to what you suggest, the responses published here are not generated automatically and forgotten. They are read, written and reviewed by real people who genuinely care about guest satisfaction and who work on site every day to improve the hotel.
What we find particularly unfortunate is that despite the number of concerns mentioned in your review, these were never brought to the attention of the management team during your stay. Our managers are available daily and are there precisely to address issues while guests are in-house, when solutions can be implemented immediately rather than after departure.
As for your statement that the hotel “could be great with a change of management”, we respectfully disagree. Like any large resort welcoming hundreds of guests every day, we have areas where improvements are ongoing. However, the food, gardens, family facilities, location, entertainment programme and the dedication of many of our teams—points that you yourself highlighted positively—are also the result of the work carried out by the very management team you criticise.

Lovely placed hotel on Agadir beach front
We had a fab time at the dunes d’or. We went with jet 2 and had transfers. Room is lovely and clean, great for couples and families. We walked to the marina which is 50 minutes. The other end of the promenade is 30-40 mins. We did the casbah Moroccan and the Bella Italian. Menus I’ve posted as could never see any online! Both are fab À la carte. Amazing food at the Moroccan, just stunning. Buffet was nice, I would say though waiters please sort yourselves out. The buffet is split into various rooms to eat in with approx 12 tables or so, and every table had zero cutlery or cups/glasses. They would wait until there was like multiple tables with nothing on before they would put something down. We had to play ‘find the dresssed table’ in order to find a place where we could get a drink out of a glass and eat with cutlery. And they would hide behind these screens which made it antisocial to ask for anything. But bar service was superb and entertainment was great. So buffet was the little bug bear but food was nice. Omelettes were lovely fruit was fresh, and loved the desserts, if you can get a spoon.

Nice stay at Dunes D'or with my 2 boys, Staff were all exceptional especially the Entertainment team who always got us involved. Some parts of the hotel are a bit aged and could do with bits of renewing but overall a very pleasant experience staying at the Hotel.

We went all inclusive and honestly could not complain about the choice and variety there was always freshly prepared options you won’t starve
Omar in the restaurant really looked after us
We found the majority of staff really kind helpful and friendly with the exception of the young man on the beach bar and some of the ladies behind reception I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again
