Best place to stay in Ait Bouguemez

Ait Bouguemez is a comfortable, rural valley in the high Atlas Mountains. It's basically a 20 mile apple orchard surrounded by beautiful scenery. The Kasbah is the perfect place to stay in Ait Bouguemez. I was there for about 4 days night at the beginning of spring. The rooms are basic and very clean. My room opened onto the terrace which had a fabulous view to the south. My bed was very comfortable with excellent blankets. The bathroom was clean with great hot water. The friendly owner, Seham, was the perfect hostess. Breakfast is included and I also purchased evening meals. Everything was fresh and delicious. Seham gave me good advice about where to hike and what to see. This valley is the place many people start 3-6 day hikes to mountain peaks. The Kasbah is the place to stay to begin and end a journey. I highly recommend it.

Good place and good host

Beautiful place . Magnificent immersion in the life of the mountain Moroccan village . This Kasbah is good family hotel by the standards of these remote places . It has large common terrace with tables and chairs and extensive views . Good place for relax . Good sleeping conditions , excellent breakfast . It seems everything here is made by one person - Mohamed . Cleaning, cooking, washing - he is everywhere . Helpful and kind . We stayed here 4 nights . It was our base for mountain exploration . Every time we had returning here like to our home . We like this place .

A good anchor point to to explore the Aarouss valley and the Mgoun mountain

We've got a good welcome and a friendly service.
Clean and charming rooms (not all with a bathroom however!)
Nice food. Mainly, the "Couscous" made by Hassan's wife!
Hassan (the owner) gave as valuable advices for our trek to Mgoun summit.
We've stayed there at a our arrival to the Ait Bougmez valley and when we were back from our ascension of Mgoun.

Dont book in Kasbah ait Bouguemez

the raison I am advising you not to book there is simply because I had bad experience when I spent a night there.
1 while I was taking a shower the water got suddenly cold...
2 the rooms are very dark
3 the room was cold
4 and this is what really pissed me off : I went there with couple of friends, we were 6 persons and when we ordered our dinner, the guy said that a "Tajine" ,Moroccan dish" , cost 7 Euros. it is a fair price for a places like Ait bougemez. but when we wanted to check out the guy said it is 7 Euros for each person. you would say that it is ok to pay 7 a person for a tajine " around 42 Euros, but for me it is the most expensive Tajine I have ever eaten because I ate it in fancy places like marrakech but only at 20 Euros....

Très bon rapport qualité/prix compte tenu de la localisation

La chambre (sur la terrasse) est relativement confortable, c'est rustique mais tout à fait correct. La terrasse est très agréable. La cuisine est plutôt bonne et le personnel est sympathique, bien que ne parlant que peu français ou anglais.
Nous avons simplement eu un petit problème d'eau chaude et le wifi n'est disponible que dans la salle à manger. Rien de bien surprenant vu qu'Agouti se trouve dans un endroit très reculé.
