Couldn’t find the hotel, we ended up staying to a nearby hotel as the one booked wasn’t lit up and impossible to read the name on the walls and the direction was wrong.

A stage that warms the heart

The location facing the Rocky Mountain Range and the somewhat out-of-the-way location make this place an unspoilt oasis of real life. Do not be intimidated by the bare appearance of the structure: the rooms are very large and well-kept and the host and his family will welcome you with a warmth and a smile that you are not used to. We spent only one evening passing through on this trip but we were impressed by the friendliness and affection of the locals throughout the holiday. A stop that warms the heart, with a suggestive landscape and a home cooking much more true than that found in big cities. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Great break after 5 days of trek

Reached here at the end of a 5 day trek in the High Atlas to mount M'Goun . After tents and rough refuges on the trek, Gite d'tape Tamaloute was chance to shower and wash some clothes. A clean large room with a nice view over the green Valley of Roses and brown desert hills all around. This is a basic kind of gite built in traditional way of rammed earth in a village of 3,000 people, with modern amenities like showers and A/C. We didn't need the A/C in Sept, and the hot water was spotty. The food was great and the host Hussein was welcoming and chatty, as was our experience in all of the places we stayed in the region.

Fabulous stay

Excellent gite in a superb setting! Staff were amazing, food was outstanding, service and helpfulness was 10/10. Room was huge, beds are hard but that’s Morocco, bathroom great. Breakfast was superb - fresh juice, baked breads etc. Recommended!
