Pleasant stay despite noisy environment

Pros: very friendly staff, attentive; comfortable, clean rooms, bedding ok, air conditioning ok, the room had a small balcony overlooking the pool (but this is not the case for all); good and hearty meals (in 12 days we did not have the same meal twice), local cuisine; buffet of the correct breakfast (pancakes, fresh fruit ....); nice little pool for the end of the day.
Cons: location near a busy road so noisy (from 5am to 8pm in the evening, living in the countryside, we are not used to); our room upstairs would require a change of the bay window (for better noise isolation); little choice in terms of meals served on the plate. Rather poorly connected at the bus level, we rented a car.
In the end, an establishment between the hotel and the guesthouse; do not expect high-end services but the whole is correct for a 2 star.

Catastrophic

We arrived on July 6, 2026, for the first time in Mauritius; we had booked this hotel through Leclerc Voyage. Upon arriving in the room, it was unsanitary, with urine on the toilet bowl as well as on the walls next to the toilet, and a black toilet brush with traces of excrement. Showers were very dirty, black on the floor and on the bottom of the shower doors, mattress black... Pillows stained, on the floor, behind the toilet there was grime and a strong smell of urine, sink clogged. We called over the manager who offered us another room. Upon arriving in the new room, it was the same. We then called our Leclerc agency, which, with photos as proof, contacted FRAM to change our hotel. We would like to strongly thank Juliette and Orlane from Leclerc Voyage who were a great support and fought to rehouse us. We had to wait 5 hours for things to be resolved; at no point did the manager offer us a glass of water... I dare not imagine the state of their kitchen given the state of the rooms. We had, however, previously looked at the reviews for this hotel, which had good reviews except for one or two, so we left feeling confident. Do not go to this hotel under any circumstances. A 2-star hotel can be aging, but it should under no circumstances be dirty.
Avoid at all costs.
Fortunately, this hotel is not representative of Mauritius, which remains a magnificent island with adorable people.

Does not deserve 2 stars

Hotel located with chilli tips.
2 stars...it’s too much
Only the speaker is nice, the rest is just to be redone, see photos.
Unhealthy room
Cleaning and disinfection between each guest not done. Rust, mold, dirt, old air conditioners where the grills are blocked with tissues, cockroaches and ants in the room!!!
Bedding ok but stained sheet
Nobody's bringing you your luggage.
Very average welcome.
We count you 50 rs each time you change your pool towel...
Buffet: in the morning yogurt put on a bed of ice, mold. Midday à la Carte, evening mini buffet of 2 choices... Not terrible at all.
Dirty pool....you can swim there dressed in a djellaba without problem without going through the mandatory shower before, it's party!!! This is like washing your laundry in the pool....lamentable and sickening.
Director on both sides, very nice or very unkind. You must accept the reproaches, sir, otherwise you will not move forward.
I would definitely not recommend this hotel. You don't have to put all your money in your car, but invest it in the total renovation of the rooms.

Northern Mauritius on a tight budget .Backpackers heaven

Simple budget friendly hotel with the basics. Staff are friendly and helpful .Daily housekeeping. Good tasty food served at breakfast & dinner . Music entertainment provided on Friday & Saturday . Beach nearby very rocky but doable . Based in a residential area with very basic tourist friendly entertainment & shopping options .
