its close to the beach...and thats all
With that said this hostel is affordable accommodations not even 5mins walking to 2 different public beach access points. cant beat that. thats really the only redeeming quality. other than that heres the list of cons: no hot water, poorly designed rooms with not enough sockets close to the beds to charge accessories while you sleep, limited AC times, poor quality breakfast, awkwardly designed kitchen area not compatible for more than 1 person cooking at a time, no social environment, run down and dirty. The very minimum of hostel standards appealing to the poorest of travelers with the goal of spending as little money as possible on accommodations while being as close as possible to the beaches of cancun.
The food near by is poor quality and expensive. IF you are traveling through cancun just stay in the city, away from the hotel zone and take the bus into the beach. You will find much better accommodations, food, and entertainment for the price and the social atmosphere could only be better than what we experienced here in the hotel zone. Its basically feels like a run down shopping mall that they have converted different vendor stalls into guest rooms... but some are still vendors and some appear to be offices for other businesses. its strange and uncomfortable.
We booked a private room with a king bed, I took a photo of this booking just because I had a sneaking suspicion they were going to play a shell game with me and they did. When we arrived we were told there were no private rooms available but they could put us in a 5 bed dorm for the same price. The said they would let us use the whole dorm privately BUT dorm beds are still $6-$12 a night and we paid $44 for a king bed private room. No one else was staying in the hostel so we basically just paid $22 each to stay in a dorm that normally cost $12.

Great for the price
After losing my passport in maya riveria, the canadian embassy recommended this place to us.
Of course it was a shock going from a 4 1/2 star resort to a hostel by after the second day I was good and actually began to enjoy my experience here.
We were here for a total of three nights.
Pros:
The staff never hesitated when we need something! We even had a housekeepers come to our private hostel room everyday to clean and make the bed.

It was okay
Pros;
* I personally found the bed comfortable
* Lockers were provided
* Free wifi
* Plug sockets all over the place
* Met loads of amazing people from all over the world!
Cons;
* The showers were cold
* The breakfast in the morning wasn't too great.
* Wifi only worked in the lobby.
