A relaxing week.
100/10. I had an incredible time. The hotel is super nice and a great example of modern sustainable architecture. In addition to appearances, the reception staff, the restaurant, the bar, and even the housekeeping were incredible, caring, and attentive.
Every day I did 1-2 activities included, but with anything additional, the concierge was there to help.
My villa felt private without being hidden, it had everything necessary and above all, air conditioning .
I recommend Boca De Agua to everyone, but don't forget mosquito repellent like I did!!

A Perfect Escape in Bacalar
The whole experience was exceptional. The architecture by Frida Escobedo, the friendly staff, the food, and the location all come together to create what truly feels like paradise.
Our room had the most incredible view over the treetops, and it really made you feel like you were in your own secluded sanctuary in the jungle. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm and quiet. It’s perfect for slowing down and relaxing.
The staff at the lagoon (with some of the most beautiful water in the world!) and at the restaurant were incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure we felt taken care of.
Everything is immaculate and thoughtfully maintained. The scent of copal drifting through the space adds a beautiful sensory layer to the experience. And one unexpected detail we loved: the music playlist was fantastic and gave the whole place a very cool vibe.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return. It’s worth every penny.

The Flora restaurant within the hotel offers a culinary experience with refined dishes made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. In short, ideal for enjoying local flavours in a stylish, natural setting. Boca de Agua is the perfect destination to completely unwind, immerse yourself in nature and enjoy a luxurious (jungle) experience that will stay with you for a long time.

A hotel that transforms you.
We would like to thank the entire Boca de Agua team for their kindness and attentiveness; we spent two days in this magical place, which is a haven of peace and connection with Mother Nature. Everything was perfect, the chef delighted us and surprised us with some tasty treats. The staff was worthy of great hospitality establishments. We appreciate this luxury, without glitter, this luxury that makes you feel shared values and authentic relationships. Boca de Agua stays in our memories and hearts.
Boca de Agua was one of those rare surprises that exceeded expectations.
From our arrival, we were impressed by how the architecture integrates with the jungle. Nothing feels invasive or artificial; on the contrary, the hotel seems to emerge naturally from the surroundings. Walking along the elevated wooden paths among the trees and crossing the long bridge that leads to the lagoon has a magical quality.
The privacy of the villas is exceptional. Each space feels intimate, tranquil, and carefully designed for one to completely disconnect and enjoy the sounds of the enveloping jungle. It is the kind of place where luxury is not expressed through ostentation, but through silence, nature, intelligent design, and attention to detail.
The cuisine deserves special mention. We were surprised to discover that their restaurant has been recognized by the Michelin Guide in 2024 and 2025.
But perhaps the most memorable aspect was the warmth of the team. The service was extraordinary throughout our stay: professional, friendly, genuine, and always attentive without being intrusive.
We have been fortunate to stay in many boutique hotels both in and out of Mexico, and Boca de Agua achieves something very difficult: creating an experience that feels authentic, sophisticated, and deeply connected to the natural beauty of Bacalar.
