An oasis of the Zocalo.
We chose this hotel for its strategic and convenient location to the historic center and for some photos that hinted at the beauty of the spaces.
However, we never thought we would fall in love with both the places and the people. The girls at the reception are fabulous, very welcoming, accommodating, and always smiling. They find solutions for every problem and know how to recommend safe and well-structured experiences.
The spaces are spacious, well-maintained, and possess a beauty that makes you feel good.
The restaurant on the terrace welcomed us the first evening with appetizers and typical but reinterpreted dishes, which immediately made us feel the heart of Mexico; highly recommended!
We have been traveling to many places for two weeks, but this one will remain in our hearts for a long time. Thank you

Nice hotel unfortunately situated in cheap-o shopping area
Beautiful hotel situated, unfortunately, in a dreadful location. The entrance is flanked by two parking garages and the hotel is surrounded by a mammoth discount shopping district filled with really low end junky shops and stalls that attract hoards of people. You can hardly make your way down the sidewalk. I thought about abandoning ship but stuck it out since I paid in advance. Next visit I’ll stay in Polanco, which was a beautiful area.

Gorgeous hotel with an exceptionally helpful staff and fantastic on-site restaurant. Outside the hotel can be chaotic and sometimes very noisy, but the hotel itself is a little oasis. Room was very nice and the maid service was top notch. On nights when there was music on the square in front of the hotel (Sunday) it could be a bit loud, but otherwise we had a great experience at Casa de la Luz.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the Historic Downtown of MDCX. The property has been there since 1500's and was once a hospital. The architecture was absolutely gorgeous and like stepping back in time. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean. The whole hotel was extremely well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast included every morning was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to those who are wanting to stay somewhere different. I would stay here again.

Great long weekend escape
Our stay was amazing. We visited for a long weekend from Florida. Wanting the cooler weather Mexico City offered due to its elevation. We arrived well before check in. Our room was ready without asking. Our goal was to relax and refresh. The hotel did not disappoint. The roof top restaurant was amazing and the staff was perfect. We left the hotel to visit one museum. The rest of our stay was relaxing in the multiple lounges and eating at the hotel. Breakfast was simple but also very good. Not a USA continent buffet, but a small menu that was included with the room fee. There was also a larger menu that had items you could request with payment. There is a small park across the street. However, it is a marijuana acceptance zone. People go to this location to smoke marijuana. It is not a park the visit and hang out (unless that is your thing). Our rooms terrace faves the park. We did not have any issues with odor from the use of marijuana at the park. The arch of the hotel is old world with a remodel that kept true to the buildings heritage. It is definitely worth a return visit.
