I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience my wife and I had during our stay at Gran Hotel from August 28 through September 2, 2026.
Gran Hotel is truly beautiful, with a unique character and elegance that made our visit memorable. However, what impressed us most was not only the hotel itself, but the exceptional kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality of your staff.
I would especially like recognize the receptionist staff with outstanding service. From the moment we met her, she was incredibly helpful, warm, and attentive. She assisted us with arranging transportation, provided excellent restaurant recommendations, and helped us with numerous requests throughout our stay. What stood out most was her consistently positive attitude, willingness to help, and the genuine smile she brought to every interaction.
Employees like the one we met are what make a hotel truly special. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication are a wonderful reflection of Gran Hotel and its values.
I would like to congratulate the hotel management team for having such a remarkable person as part of your staff. Sarai is undoubtedly a valuable asset to Gran Hotel, and I hope you will share our appreciation and recognition with her.

Fabulous hotel! Get the suite! Historical & luxurious. The staff is amazing and the food in the restaurant is fantastic and the views are stellar. Adrian is at the front desk to check you in and see to your every wish! Do not miss this experience.

Very nice historic hotel with nice bedrooms and an amazing view from the restaurant. Breakfast is quite expensive (not included in room rate) if you're not really hungry / don't want much from the buffet but food was good. Hotel staff very helpful. Restaurant staff less attentive in the evening - had to chase a number of times and food was a bit cold because they just left it waiting on a tray near our table - but breakfast service is much better. In the evening I would recommend just having a drink to appreciate the view of the square rather than eating there.

Exquisite stay at Gran Hotel! Very clean room/environment and helpful staff. Adjacent to Zócalo, CDMX! Close to everything you visit this great city for!

Overall, the hotel itself was nice and we had a good stay, but there were a few disappointing issues. We specifically paid extra for a room with a Zócalo view, but unfortunately the view was blocked by construction related to the World Cup preparations.
The biggest issue was the noise. We were told the construction wouldn’t be a problem, but there was loud construction going on until around 2 a.m. every night we were there, making it difficult to relax and sleep.
We also felt at times like the staff was avoiding us when we had concerns, and we noticed other guests seemed to receive better attention and service.
Other than that, it was a good stay. I just wish they had been more upfront about the construction and noise, especially since we paid extra specifically for the Zócalo view.
