Good quality room at reasonable price

The overall room quality at this hotel is quite good - modern room, king sized bed, TV, WiFi, decent bathroom etc. There's even a mini kitchen for self-catering. Price is reasonable and the location is good - nice area, close to bars, restaurants and the metro station.
I have read some negative reviews of this hotel so maybe I should mention some of the flaws - WiFi is not great and sometimes disappears, the shower leaks into the bathroom floor, many of the frontline staff don't speak English and the breakfast is nothing to write home about. But these are minor flaws, so you just need to get over them.
Would I go back? Yes

Located by the Metro Insurgentes Station, Ubers to downtown or Lucha Libre were very affordable. Breakfast was delicious (from Chilaquiles to French Toast). The room was comfortable, we got extra toiletries, and the staff was friendly.
Our room on the 4th floor was quiet. The A/C was great.
The rooftop and some areas are under construction. Jacuzzi is out of service. But still great views from the rooftop.
Definitely a hotel we can return to.

The main reason why we keep going back and stay at the Block suites is the helpfulness of the staff, the great and convenient location and the restaurant.

Block Hotel & Suites in Roma Norte

Mu husband and I stayed for 10 days on a visit to Mexico City. We booked a 2-bed room with kitchenette. The room was much nicer than portrayed in the photos. It was modern, clean, and well maintained. We liked having a refrigerator, sink, snd sit down bar in the room. It came with all the normal hotel amenities, wifi, safe, iron, fresh towels everyday, ac, and soft blankets. The bed was comfortable, pillows soft, and blankets warm and fluffy. The staff at the front desk were professional. The Sra. who cleaned was very nice and accommodating by coming back to our room when we messed up her schedule. The room also came with free breakfast. The options were limited. It might have been better if maybe the choices occasionally rotated. One morning I asked for coffee and pan dulce. The pan dulce was extra and not part of the breakfast choices. Though, it would be less expensive than everything else on the menu. They did have a wonderful fruit plate that we thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel has a rooftop with a gym, hot tubs, vending machines, in the elevator foyer, as well as an ice machine. The gym appeared to be out of service as it appeared to be under renovation. There were tables and chair for people to use. We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop in the evening enjoying the view. I saw some of the negative comments and did not experience any of the things discussed. Million dollar question - would we stay here again? Yes, it was comfortable, safe, clean, and well kept. Thank you to all the staff that gave us a great landing point.

Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel's location, cleanliness, and customer service. The reason I gave it four stars is that the complimentary breakfast was quite poor. We tried it twice, hoping the first time was just a fluke, but the second experience was even worse. It's a shame because the restaurant area is beautiful.
Despite the breakfast issue, I would still highly recommend staying here, just be aware that you won’t be saving money on breakfast.
