The only drawback was with the loose tiles in the pool, as it is dangerous with so many children in it.

It is a good option, but some things in the room and restaurant need improvement, such as streamlining and ensuring reservations.
It is a good option, but some things in the room, like the bathroom, need improvement. The reservation and room assignment service needs improvement, as well as the quality of some food in the restaurant.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at the Barceló Guadalajara Hotel was extremely disappointing.
Our company booked five rooms with two beds each to attend an important exhibition at Expo Guadalajara. We specifically chose this type of room and paid a higher rate because it was necessary for our team.
The problems began at check-in. We arrived around 2:30 p.m., just 30 minutes before the official check-in time. We were not requesting early access to the rooms. We only wanted to be informed of the room numbers so that the luggage staff could take our bags once the rooms were ready at 3:00 p.m., while we headed to set up our booth at the expo.
However, the five people at the front desk were unable to offer a logical solution or show a willingness to help. They simply stated that they could not provide any information until 3:00 p.m.
Upon returning after a long day of setup, we were informed that the rooms were now ready. To our surprise, the five assigned rooms only had one queen bed, when our reservations were clearly for rooms with two beds for which we paid a higher rate.
When pointing out this error, the receptionist responded that room assignments were subject to availability and that they could do nothing about it. This response is unacceptable. If a hotel charges more for a specific type of room, it must ensure that the guest receives exactly what they reserved and paid for.
The most concerning part is that, at that very moment, we checked the hotel’s website and rooms with two beds were still showing as available for booking.
The issue was not only the failure to honor the reservation, but also the complete lack of customer service, empathy, and problem-solving ability from the front desk staff. As exhibitors at an important event, we expected a level of service commensurate with the reputation of a hotel that constantly hosts business travelers.
A very disappointing experience. I recommend future guests to carefully verify their reservations, as paying more for a specific room does not guarantee that they will receive what they booked.
