good option for a few nights. Nice and clean. Very quick to answer questions. Will come back.

Casa Espana is a run-down, poorly managed property that does not match its positive online photos. I've posted videos and photos of my concerns on a Google Maps review to inform future guests of the condition of the hotel.
1. Room & Amenities
* Severe Damage: The tiny room has water damage, peeling ceiling paint, and a bathroom full of black mold.
* Lack of Comfort: It lacks basic furniture, forcing guests to keep luggage on the floor.
* Insect Issues: Windows lack screens, allowing mosquitoes and other insects to enter freely.
* Blinding Light: A translucent glass door has no curtains, letting in intense sunrise light.
2. Location & Security
* Inconvenient Layout: Located on a restaurant roof, requiring a two-flight climb with no elevator.
* Poor Location: Situated far from the historic center (Centro) in a residential area.
* Safety Concerns: Surrounding buildings have electric fences, but this property lacks any security.
* Self-Check-In: There is no staff or reception; entry requires navigating three separate passcode/lockbox steps.
3. Noise & Management
* Unbearable Noise: Freight trains pass 24/7, constantly blowing horns at a nearby uncontrolled crossing.
* Unhelpful Management: The manager, Miguel O., refused a room change for the mold and noise.
* Fair Pricing Issues: After checking out two nights early, the guest was still charged for one night plus taxes for all three nights.

It's not like the pictures
The property is located in a quiet area of the city surrounded by trees. There is little traffic and is easily accessible from the main avenue. The cleanliness of the room can be improved as there was human hair in the bathroom sink area and on the floor. The shower drain was blocked and it was necessary to make sure that no water accumulated. The worst thing was that the bathroom door that there was no way to use it because it was completely detached from the wall. This was reported to the owners, but was not repaired during the stay.
The room had good lighting and the bed was comfortable although one of the pillows was turned, out of place. The room does not have air conditioning, something to consider when it is very hot in the area. There was only one electric fan on the floor. This one was a bit noisy, but it didn't stop me from sleeping. Some of the walls and furniture were damaged and a chair showed stains. The photos in the ad reflect perhaps a past time when the room was in better condition as it now seems a little lackluster. The inner courtyard had very few plants and looked uncleaned. I can say that one positive detail was the speed of response of the owner when I had trouble entering the property.

Property is located in a quiet area surrounded by trees. There’s minimum traffic and it is easily accessible from the main avenue. Cleanliness can improve as there was human hair in the bathroom sink area and the floor. Shower was clogged and you needed to make sure there was no water accumulated. Worst thing was that the bathroom door was broken and there was no way to use it. It was completely disengaged from the wall. This was reported to the owners but it was not fixed during the stay. The room had good lighting and the bed was comfortable. Some of the walls and furniture had damage and stains. Advertisement pictures reflect a time when the room was in much better conditions.

The place was very clean and the host was very attentive. I will definitely stay again on my next trip to Guadalajara.
