Great property in an ideal location
The hotel is perfectly located in the Zona Centro, which is lively with the sounds of mariachi bands and conversations of visitors. The service at the hotel was friendly and attentive, and the property is well maintained and cleaned. The rooftop bar also offers views of the city, including the Pipila monument.

Comfortable and Central Stay in Colourful Guanajuato
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the very elegant and art filled 1850 Hotel Boutique. The location could not be better. Right in the centre of historical Guanajuato across from the lively Jardin de la Union and steps from Teatro Juarez. Our room, Suite Teresa, was spacious, very comfortable and beautifully appointed. The air conditioning worked great. We overlooked the Jardin de la Union which was filled with sounds of lively conversation and mariachi bands until midnight every night. The noise did not bother us since once our window was closed the sounds just became a pleasant hum in the background. The hotel's rooftop bar had expansive views of Guanajuato and was an extremely pleasant place to have a drink. Although it did not detract from our stay I do want to mention one little issue that others might encounter in the future. We booked the hotel directly through the hotel's website which advertised it came with an upgrade subject to availability. When we inquired about a possible upgrade we were told that although an upgrade was available (the hotel was mostly empty) we had to pay the regular rate for the upgraded room. It made no sense to us to advertise an upgrade on the hotel website that required payment of the regular rate. The only thing that we could think of was that the receptionist was not aware of the offer. However, we did not want to argue the point and as I said we were extremely happy with the room that we originally booked and our stay at 1850 Hotel Boutique.

What a fantastic location, overlooking the main park. Good restaurants nearby. The hotel is quiet and secure, imaginatively restored.

This was a lovely hotel. I enjoyed staying here. It was in a perfect central location. I would recommend it to anyone.

Awesome staff and great location
This is a great hotel for the location, the customer service and the ambiance.
The hotel works hard to make it a positive experience for the Customer.
For a younger travelers this is probably the perfect hotel because of the location and their flexibility.
The only reason we did not give five stars is because it can be a hazard for older people. It was a step up to the bathroom and the doors in the shower were glass and very difficult to maneuver. They were Nice enough to move us from a room that did not have a window that was functioning, to this room but it also had its challenges for us.
I think if I was younger, this would've been a five star experience.
Also, this restaurant does not serve breakfast – you have to go next-door. However, they have a sister down the street that does serve breakfast.
Overall, the hotel location is excellent and a good experience.
The hotel works hard to make it a positive experience for the Customer.
