The room it was pretty clean, awoke up to an amazing view at the ocean. Parking was basically valet only. But courtesy parking for my visitors. About the staff very kind. From the front desk, valet and Evelia the housekeeping she took care of us very well. And I don't want to skip the buffet was delicious. and the wait staff from buffet were on top of everything. The room could use a bit upgrade, but with all kindles is enough. And we will come back definitely. Ty

The staff was fantastic. The hotel itself needs a bit of an upgrade. There were issues with the elevator, which were fixed, but they are very slow and nobody seems to be willing to use the stairs even if they are on the 2nd or 3rd floors. Unfortunately, we were on the 11th floor and then the 10th floor. We had to switch due to cockroaches, which I was told by staff is common in most hotels in Mazatlan. They were quick to fumigate and move us to a different room. The floor on the 11th floor room was sticky, not sure if it needed to be cleaned better or it was normal for the type of old floor. The 10th floor room had better floors and were not sticky. There are no mini fridges in rooms unless you get a room with a kitchenette. I did not need a kitchenette, but wish we would’ve had a mini fridge. There was no way to add a mini fridge to the room, which was unfortunate with the heat. You can see that there is an effort to upgrade the hotel. They have newer televisions with apps like Netflix and YouTube. Great high-speed Internet. The AC was excellent. Only wish we would have had a mini fridge.

Royal Villas is an older hotel. The pool is small but nice. The staff at the hotel are very good and friendly. The beds are good. The elevators are fast and reliable. The maintenance people are quick on making repairs. The TV in our room only had 2 stations that were in English.
