This place was absolutely amazing! The hotel is always clean and the staff are extremely attentive and helpful. The hotel is in proximity to everything; 3min walk to el Zocalo. The staff gave us great recommendations for food and helped us get reservations to a restaurant and find transportation. You are able to text the front desk through WhatsApp and get questions answered quickly. The amenities were great; breakfast is included in your stay, pool access in the terrace, and bar is open until late. I would absolutely recommend this place!

Bad experience—DON’T GO
WORST EXPERIENCE—don’t go!
We were going to celebrate an anniversary and the hotel had the bar closed. The street was under repair and we were not warned, it does not have any exterior lighting so to access we had to use the lamps of our cell phones. There was no help, empathy, or compensation from the hotel. Even though the entrance was super difficult to access especially when entering and exiting with suitcases as the taxi did not enter the street and the street was on site. We were with older people and they had to walk in gravel and loose stones. We were not given late checkout when requesting it. Before the established checkout time we were being asked to check out because “the next guests were already waiting to check in and were asking about their room.”
The rooms have no light or ventilation as they have no windows (at least ours) and the whites are old. You can't touch the wall because you get stained! At breakfast we were charged 600 pesos for coffees that were supposedly included and wanted to charge us alcoholic beverages that we did not consume.
Worst experience — not recommended.

Lamentamos sinceramente que su experiencia no haya sido la esperada en una ocasión tan especial como su aniversario.
Las condiciones en la calle son externas a nosotros, pero entendemos completamente el impacto que esto pudo tener en su llegada y durante su estancia, Tomamos muy en serio sus comentarios sobre iluminación, comunicación previa y asistencia, ya que nos ayudan a mejorar.

The entrance features a photo of a nude woman grabbing her genitalia, the “library” has a red light and a matted floor.
That said, this hotel prioritizes style over basic comfort and safety. The property is very dark throughout, and stairwells lack proper lighting and handrails—problematic for anyone with mobility concerns, children, or anyone one mezcal too many. There is no elevator and the restaurant is on the third floor.
Admittedly, I am 73, have had knee surgery, and rely on handrails, but I have traveled extensively and know what true luxury looks like. This is not it.
Room safes are too small for a laptop, and the platform beds extend away from the bed creating a hazard in low light.
May appeal to design-focused travelers, but not recommended for families, older guests, or those expecting a true luxury experience.

A Truly Disappointing Stay
My stay was far below my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the first impression was disappointing. There were wilted flowers at the reception desk, which may seem like a small detail, but considering the rates they charge, it's hard to understand how something so simple can be neglected.
I do want to highlight that the reception staff were always kind, friendly, and willing to help. Wendy, in particular, did everything she could to assist us throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the staff's excellent attitude could not make up for the hotel's shortcomings.
The rooms were extremely basic for the price. They did not have a coffee maker, a minibar, or even a TV. On top of that, the water came out brown, which was very unpleasant.
What ruined our stay the most was the coffee situation. Every morning we asked for American coffee, but we were repeatedly told that they couldn't use the coffee machine or that it wasn't working. Instead, they served traditional Mexican café de olla, which was actually very good, but we drink our coffee without sugar, and they told us they couldn't prepare it that way. This wasn't just our experience—we stayed for quite a long time, and every day at breakfast we saw other guests asking for American coffee and being given the same answer. The strange part was that they had a beautiful espresso machine on display, but they never turned it on.
I'm not sure if this is a decision made by the owners or the management, but they really need to address it. With the prices they charge, guests should at least be able to enjoy a simple cup of American coffee.

We expected more.
The space in general seemed beautiful to us and the rooms are comfortable, but in our opinion, they are very austere, with little space to put our things, dark walls, and honestly, it seemed like very little compared to the price paid.
Something that seemed impressive to us was the lack of staff; there were two occasions when we went up for breakfast and they couldn't keep up due to the number of people and the few staff members; the only good thing is that their staff was very kind and helpful. Our experience in general was good, but we had higher expectations.
