A Jewell 30 minutes away from the city centre (walking)
- The rooms are very cosy, clean, well equipped, however, they don't have AC.
- The decoration is super cute
- The staff is helpful
- i was out of hot water in my room, but they solved my issue moving me to another one,
- The breakfast is not included and it is a la carte.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, always arranging taxis promptly when needed. As vegetarians, we especially appreciated the chef’s effort in preparing delicious vegetarian versions of local dishes, including Tlayuda.
The hotel is conveniently located about a 15–20 minute walk from the city center (Centro), making it easy to explore the area while still enjoying a quiet stay.
I highly recommend this place.

Bad experience
I booked three nights to stay during the Day of the Dead season (October 31, November 1 and 2), with a rate of 2,700 pesos per night.
Since my arrival, the experience was disappointing. The first night, when I arrived at my room, there was no hot water, a situation I reported immediately. The next day they informed me that they were aware of the problem and would change the watering can. However, upon returning that night, the water pressure was very low and the water remained unheated.
I reported it again, and two employees came to the room; after about 30 minutes they confirmed that the pressure was not adequate and there was no hot water. Because of this situation, I decided not to stay the third night.
At the time of my departure, I spoke with the general manager, Mrs. Alejandra Peralta, who told me that she would consult with the accountant for a possible partial refund for the inconvenience. I received no reply, so I had to contact her again on my own. Finally, he informed me via WhatsApp that no additional refund would be appropriate.
In conclusion, the hotel does not offer adequate value for money. While the staff is friendly, they lack autonomy to resolve issues with the rooms. Fortunately, I found another boutique hotel with better location, better rate and excellent service, which made a big difference to my stay in Oaxaca.
