Very nice economical hotel

We stayed for one night. It is a nice quaint hotel, the room was good with an excellent bathroom & shower. Parking was a challenge. The interior courtyard was very nice and a mariachi band played in the evening. We relaxed with a glass of wine and had an enjoyable dinner listening.
Overall very enjoyable.

Little criterion to solve the problems presented by the hotel

Room 101 is extremely noisy, it is located on the first floor to one side of the reception, kitchen and toilet area, so you hear everything. They are heard as they attend reception, as they wash dishes inside the kitchen, as they fill the buckets with water for toileting, the noise of cars in the street and even the use of the bathrooms of the rooms upstairs.
After only 30 minutes inside the room, I asked for a change to a less noisy room, as it was 9:30pm and my only intention to stay there was to sleep. The receptionist Montserrat, after having a call with the manager, informed me that they could not make the change as it would involve cleaning the room in which they had housed me.
As a comment, the room apart from being noisy is very small, there is hardly room between the bed and the wall to move to the bathroom. The photographs they present on the internet are much more pleasant than reality.
Finally I had to change to another hotel at 10pm because the noise in reception was not stopping and unfortunately they could not present a solution to a fundamental problem for rest, which is what one will do to a hotel.

Don't stay here during the spring

The hotel does not have its own parking you have to take your car to one as a cellar away , the rooms are small and do not have air conditioning , during the spring it is very hot and not a fan offer , the rooms do not have good circulation, in short impossible to rest by the heat, not recommended.

Truly Dreadful Experience

We experienced outright price gouging during the Day of the Dead festivities (US$300 per night excluding breakfast) for very basic facilities: 2 beds, a night table, a TV and a bathroom - nothing else. Then came the problems. First, our room was in direct sunlight all day long every day and heated up like a furnace. With no AC and no fans, we had to leave both our window and door open till after midnight to get the temperature down enough to be able to sleep. Second, we asked if we could have 2 glasses to drink water in the room and were told "go the the corner shop and buy your own" - so, for the first time ever, we did. Third, we had to humpf everything up and down three flights of stairs as there's no lift. Lastly, there was constant noise in the open patio area until late every night. Never again!

The hotel is nice and it's not expensive.

It has the perfect location in town. The room was comfortable and clean. The building is beautiful. We didn't try the food in the restaurant, but it seemed nice too. A nice play to stay! Its only 2 blocks from the main Plaza.
