Absolutely Incredible. The standard of all-inclusive resorts.

Impression Moxché absolutely lived up to the hype!
We stayed at Impression Moxché in early August 2026. I remember driving by this resort four years ago and thinking, “I’m going to stay there next.” Well… it absolutely lived up to ALL of the hype.
We’ve stayed at several all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, and this was by far the best all-inclusive experience we’ve ever had. I’m honestly not sure how another resort is going to top it.
ROOM & RESORT — 10/10
The level of luxury on the Impression side versus the overall resort was significant. We stayed in a Master Suite Ocean Front, and the room was MASSIVE — double showerheads with a window overlooking the ocean, a soaking tub and lounge chairs on the terrace, and a fully stocked minibar.
The Impression rooftop pool was the definition of luxury: a huge infinity pool overlooking the ocean with plenty of cabanas, chairs, and umbrellas. The property was also extremely well maintained. There was some construction during our visit, but once we learned the alternate walking routes, we barely noticed it.
BUTLER SERVICE — 10/10
Our butler team, Maili and Zulda, was AMAZING. Communication through WhatsApp was excellent with almost immediate responses. They were incredibly attentive, approachable, and even rescued us when we couldn’t figure out how to use one of the gates.
SPA — 10/10
Do not skip the spa! We did an 80-minute deep tissue couples massage, hydrotherapy twice, and the full Hammam experience. Everything was incredible, but the Hammam was a standout.
Pro tip: bring your swimsuit for hydrotherapy AND a second swimsuit or change of clothes if you have a treatment afterward. Putting a cold, wet swimsuit back on after a relaxing massage is not the move.
FOOD — 10/10
Hands-down the best food we’ve had at an all-inclusive. Every meal had something memorable.
Must do stops:
• Teodoro — Worth it. Seven-course tasting menu with a gorgeous ocean view. Book around 6 PM because it takes at least two hours.
• Allora — Handmade pizza + beef carpaccio.
• Bisou — Beef Wellington and rack of lamb.
• Dos Almas — The shrimp appetizer!
• Cielo — Exclusive to Impression guests only. The Smashburger and brownie are MUSTS.
• Marquesita stand — this is a popup stand every night near the shops. Get one with Nutella, banana, and Dutch cheese. Trust me!!.
Another tip: if you want dinner around 7:30–8 PM, make your reservations on day one and plan out your week. Prime dinner times fill up quickly, and your butlers or concierge can make the reservations.
BEACH — 7/10
The beach is the one area where I’d manage expectations. We normally spend 70% of our vacation at the beach and spent almost zero time there this trip. In early August there was significant seaweed, some unpleasant odor at times, and much of the water along the shoreline was brown.
But surprisingly, we didn’t miss it. The pools were so good, especially the Impression infinity pools, that we were completely happy staying poolside.
Fair warning: the main Secrets pool deck was packed by around 10:30 AM even though the resort was reportedly only around 60% occupancy. We happily stayed on the Impression side after that.
OVERALL — 10/10
After several all-inclusive trips, this is easily the best experience we’ve had. The food, service, rooms, pools, spa, and overall level of luxury were exceptional.
I read some of the one-star reviews before our trip, and after our experience, I would absolutely not let those sway your decision.
And if you’re debating whether upgrading from Secrets Moxché to Impression Moxché is worth the additional cost: YES.

An Unforgettable Birthday Stay at Secrets Moxché
First, let me make one thing clear: this review was not requested or encouraged in any way. I simply wanted to recognise an incredible team who made our stay truly unforgettable.
Before arriving, we'd watched a handful of negative videos online, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. Thankfully, those concerns disappeared the moment we stepped onto the property. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of exceptional.
From the warm welcome we received to the heartfelt goodbyes at the end of our holiday, every single member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
Our holiday got off to the best possible start thanks to Alexa at check-in. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. When she discovered we were celebrating my birthday, she kindly arranged for a lovely bottle of wine to be delivered to our suite—a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the entire trip.
We were then escorted to Room 2840 by Jesus, who gave us a fantastic tour of the resort while taking us to our room. He explained everything we needed to know and made us feel completely at home from the very beginning.
The resort itself is absolutely stunning. Our standard suite exceeded every expectation—beautifully designed, spacious, and impeccably maintained. We never once felt the need to upgrade to the Preferred Club, as we genuinely didn't feel we were missing out on anything. Of course, if those additional benefits appeal to you, then go for it, but we were more than happy with our standard accommodation.
Each morning began with a warm welcome from Victor, whose friendly personality made breakfast an even more enjoyable way to start the day.
The dining throughout the resort was outstanding. We managed to experience almost every restaurant available to standard guests, and every meal impressed us. However, Bisou was undoubtedly the standout.
The entire experience at Bisou was world-class. Every dish was beautifully presented, expertly prepared, and full of authentic flavour. The menu offers such an excellent variety that choosing what to order is genuinely difficult—although you really can't make a wrong decision.
As incredible as the food was, it was the service that truly elevated the evening. A special thank you goes to our waiter, Francisco, who was simply exceptional. His attention to detail, professionalism, and warm personality ensured we never had to ask for a thing. He anticipated everything before we even realised we needed it, making what was already an amazing evening completely unforgettable.
If you're looking for exceptional French cuisine paired with first-class hospitality, Bisou is an absolute must.
We also thoroughly enjoyed Suki, Ember, Allora, and Dos Amigos, while the Barefoot Grill was perfect for delicious casual lunches and snacks. The lunch at Seasoul was equally amazing. Every restaurant consistently delivered outstanding food and impressive service.
Our days by the pool were made even better thanks to Dave, who looked after us brilliantly with towels and sunbeds. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and his cheerful attitude never went unnoticed. The poolside servers also deserve enormous credit—they kept the drinks flowing all day with friendly, attentive service.
Although the beach may not be the very best in the Riviera Maya, it was still lovely, and the dedicated team works tirelessly to keep the sargassum at bay so guests can relax.
Evenings were just as memorable. The team at Dark Horse kept the drinks coming with fantastic service, and the entertainment team put on nightly shows that were energetic, varied, and genuinely entertaining. There is also a huge variety of daytime activities available; although we were mostly there to relax, we thoroughly enjoyed watching others participate in all the fun around the resort.
Even checking out at the end of the trip was a warm and friendly experience, leaving us with a great final impression.

Impression delivered a truly memorable, upscale experience
We returned to Moxche to try Impression after staying at Secrets last year. The additional exclusive restaurants, pools, and perks throughout the property really helped convince us of the difference! The food and beverage offerings were a step above, and the service was exceptional. We had a great butler team (Rafael and Gilberto), thoroughly enjoyed activities with with some members of the entertainment team (Jose, Jazmin, Dani, and Jessica), and top-notch service from Alonso and his Sommelier team (Liliana, Jose, and Noe). So many warm, friendly, and dedicated servers throughout the property (Demetrio, Armando, Fernando, Hugo, Consuelo). It really felt like we were part of their family for the week. Looking forward to a return visit!
