I Like NH Hotels
The photos of the hotel room seem spartan and minimal. But, I've stayed at NH Hotels in Spain and Buenos Aires, and that seems to be their design motif.
Despite the hotel looking a little weathered around the edges, it's still a comfortable place. There's a tiny rooftop pool/sundeck, a gym, and several large event spaces on the top floor. There's an onsite restaurant that serves a buffet breakfast (including an omelette station)--7am to 12pm--though most of the hot dishes are Mexican-based. It's open for dinner, too. Also, there's a little cafe that serves coffee, tea, pastries and sandwiches. The hotel staff is pleasant and friendly.
FYI: First, some nearby restaurants around the hotel close early, (around 6-7 pm). But, the eateries by the El Zocalo--2 blocks away--have longer hours. Also, the hotel's in a busy commercial district, and there can be grid lock in the surrounding streets. Keep that in mind if you order a Uber/taxi.

Check in was horrible this time around! I've stayed here before and never had an issue. We got here early and there was only one person helping guests. We were torld no rooms were ready until 3 pm. which we understood. We did all the preliminary check-in information hoping to only get our keys at 3 pm.

Good facilities and location
In general, the hotel is very good, with excellent facilities, cleanliness, and a very central location close to everything, but they charged my card and I never knew why; that is not correct, for me it was an abuse.

Super disappointing!
I stayed at the hotel from May 6 to May 11, 2026, and the experience was highly disappointing. The check-in was excessively slow, as the staff asked me a series of questions, even though the reservation was made through the Booking app, with all the details. Additionally, the door to room 403 did not work well; the card got stuck, you had to push hard to enter, and we changed the key several times without success. I was charged for parking, even though it was included in the reservation. And the worst part, two of my guests, who stayed in room 111, forgot their sweatshirts in that room. We reported the forgetfulness that same night, because we were traveling from Puebla to Mexico City, and upon arrival, we realized that the sweatshirts had been left in Puebla, in the hotel closet, which was the last place we stayed. I called the hotel several times, made reports, spoke with the manager, and despite her kindness and following the protocols, the sweatshirts were not found. They did not check the cameras nor left any trace in the logs. This left me feeling very bad, because I chose this hotel thinking about the safety of my foreign guests, and in the end, it was the complete opposite. It is a shame that a hotel with a good online reputation is not up to par. I would not recommend it. The location is good, but the logistics, service failures, and loss of belongings ruined the entire stay.

Respecto a los objetos reportados, le aseguramos que se siguieron los procedimientos internos correspondientes y se realizaron las revisiones pertinentes con las áreas involucradas; sin embargo, lamentablemente no fue posible localizar las prendas mencionadas. Comprendemos que esta situación resultó especialmente decepcionante para usted y sus acompañantes.
