Excellent location, big rooms and friendly staff

The hotel is situated a short level walk to many of the city's sights and facilities. The rooms are big, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fairly poor but eating out is easy nearby, whether in a top restaurant of a coffee shop. To get a taxi just watch how the locals do it. Hold your hand out to one side to flag down an official, or un-official taxi ride - check a cost before you get in.

Friendly staff, interesting location

If you don't mind walking 20 or so minutes to downtown, this would be a perfect place to hide from city noise and Naadam tourist crowds.
Staff are very friendly and will try to help with any request you have, but English is really an issue. Only one member speaks it fluently, though with older folks Russian might be useful too. Otherwise, make sure you have Google Translate on at the reception!
Room was very big, nice and clean - just make sure you ask for room service on time, 'cause it probably won't happen on its own :D
WiFi comes and goes, or can have only 2-3 bars at times.
The best part I guess is feeling safe and at home most of the time :D

Great Value and Location

The experience was overall very good at this hotel. It is inexpensive for a spacious suite and single rooms are also very inexpensive. The location is very good and it is just a 15-20 minute walk from the main city square. There is a small but good breakfast delivered to your room at whatever time you ask each morning.
The rooms were mostly clean when we arrived but we did find something under the bed that should have been found prior to our artival. There are also minor inconveniences of no elevator for a four floor building and no daily room service.
I would definitely choose this hotel again, especially given the great value and location.

Great hotel, great location, a few minor issues to be aware of

This is a great property that met all my needs and is in a great location. The hotel is just a 20-minute walk from Ulaanbaatar's main square, and a 5-minute walk to nearby grocery stores and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but only some of them spoke English. For example, there is no elevator so the staff kindly carried my heavy luggage up the stairs for me. My room was very clean and spacious, and had all the amenities I needed, such as fast WiFi, a min-fridge, and a surge protector that accommodated power plugs from Europe and the US. The bathroom was large and clean with good water pressure in the shower.
Some things to note about this property:
-There is no air conditioning in the room
-I'm not sure if there is heat in the room. It was a slightly chilly summer evening, and when I turned the heater on, nothing happened. Maybe they turn it on in the winter.
-There is no elevator, but the staff will help you carry your heavy bags up the stairs.
-There is only a very bright halogen light in the room. There is no dim/low light for when you want to relax in the dim light.
-There is no daily housekeeping

Great staff, ideal location

Great staff, beautiful rooms, and very convenient location. The excellent service by staff make this hotel a jewel. The staff are always accommodating and try to help any way they can. Large and comfortable rooms. Great rates. After living in Mongolia for one year, this is the best value I have found.
