Great Location for Naadam Festival but poor room Air-Conditioning.

This hotel is an ideal location for the Naadam Festival: it is 500 metres (5 min walk) to the National Stadium, where the festival occurs. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are also very large. The hotel features a gym and pool. However, the pool seemed a bit eerie, with a lack of lighting and not the place you would want to hang out for any length of time. However, the biggest concern is the lack of air-conditioning for the room. In July, in Ulaanbaatar, temperatures can reach 30C and above. When you first entered the room, it was very hot. Unfortunately, the air-conditioned control, does not go below 26/27C , when I raised this issue with reception. The air-conditioning system like the hotel, is quite old, and this may contribute to the problem. It was difficult sleep at night, due to a lack of air-conditioning. For this reason, this hotel is certainly not 5 stars, but more 3 to 4 star hotel, at best. Besides the Naadam festival, there are not many attractions near the hotel: the Suhkbaatar Square is about 3 kms from the hotel. However, there is a small shopping centre, about 700 ms from the hotel. The included breakfast was nice with range of selections and this was updated daily during my 5 day stay. During Breakfast, they show calming videos on large big screen of place-destinations from the around the world - great feature. You can get ice bucket refills from the restaurant, which I really appreciate. Overall, this hotel is still recommended for the Naadam festival and the price paid made it good value with the included breakfast.

An excellent hotel

A very large hotel, which has rooms and suites as well as rooms for meetings. Since we were accommodated there 3 nights (not in a row, but each after a travel period), we got dinner in the restaurant on 2 nights, which was very good and also excellent in taste. The staff, whether at the reception or in the restaurant was always very friendly and helpful.
