Best option if you are on a budget

There are lots of accommodations in Vilankulos, but mostly expensive! Therefore if you are seeking for a nice, clean but very simple place to stay...here you have it! I stayed at the dorm, and had great sleep even if the place was shared with 1-10 people. Breakfast is included, make sure you get it.
There is a restaurant and sports bar, cheapest food although not the greatest!

Basic rooms with Double beds

Complexo Alemanda is pretty basic .
It says it has hot showers but we always had to ask for the hot water to be turned on .
I would not leave anything in the fridge it has defiantly seen better days .
Breakfast of eggs and bread is included but you can’t be sure at what time it will turn up.
The wi fi only gets turned in from 5 pm / 7 am which was really annoying at times .
It was good value for money but I would not come back .
The location was central and very handy if you need the hospital which was virtually next door .

The best value and very clean!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Complexo Alemanha (actually called Vilanculos Backpackers, but named CA by the locals). For 1000Mets a night (NOT per person), we got a nice little bungalow with a double bed, a mosquito net, a small outside seating area, and a view over the ocean. The bathroom is shared, but very clean, and the showers have lovely hot water. There is a kitchen available to self cater as well as a restaurant/bar where they serve drinks and decent food at cheap prices with a nice local vibe (especially during football). A nice little extra were the pool tables in the bar to keep us occupied in the evening. The locals also enjoy coming here for a game of pool, and they like to challenge the tourists ;)!

Great times!!

Complexo Alemanha is an awesome place! I had a great time in December 2015! The restaurant is fantastic and offers Mozambican, Italian and even German food! The value for money is fantastic! Will definitely come back soon!

Lugar muy relajado, con un lindo bar y restaurante economico

El dueño es muy amable y atento, nos ayudó con el cambio de moneda local y las excursiones. El lugar tiene un sports bar con restaurante a buen precio y mesas de pool, lo cual es excelente para conocer a la gente local; la comida del mismo es muy rica.
La habitación compartida es bien amplia y ventilada, cada cama con su red para mosquitos. Las camas no olian muy bien y no habia enchufes para cargar equipos electricos.
La cocina compartida esta bien equipada y tiene parrilla.
El lugar se encuentra a unos 5 minutos de la playa, en una zona tranquila y segura. Hay un ATM a unas 5-6 cuadras
