Charming

Stayed here for three nights during April 2014.
The building was nicely tucked away in an alley,hardly 5 minutes walk from Thamel. The building itself retains an old-age charm.. very appealing.
Even though we checked in a day earlier, at the reception, Suren, the young gentleman, was very eager and helpful in getting the room.
Note, the doors are pretty low and you might want to bow your heads, when entering a room. Good proof, the hotel still adheres to the traditional architecture.
The room was splendid and tastefully decorated, in a Nepali classic style, with a cute windows, wooden roof and even a small bay window overlooking the garden, wooden roof, and traditional low table. Even though it was peak summer on Thamel, everytime we got into the hotel, it was cool inside!
The stay was among the highlights of our visit to Nepal, and we would definitely stay here, the next time, we get to Kathmandu.. A definite gem!

Beautiful and friendly

Stayed at 3 low cost hotels during my 2 weeks in Nepal. This one is the best of all. My room is clean, comfortable n well decorated. Never expected a low cost hotels room to be so charming. The Staffs are friendly and helpful. So do the young manager, always doing his best to make sure I'm having a great stay here. Their Internet facility is good too.
Great value for money.

great spot!

Really enjoyed this place. Close 5 minute walk to Thamel and many convenient spots while just being outside of it down a quiet alley so you can actually sleep! The room was very well decorated and very clean. Only if you are over 180cm I might think about whether you'll leave with a concussion as the ceilings are very low (as is the case in many places in Kathmandu you'll find). The owner was very helpful with us and very friendly. Would stay again

sweet spot

Little jewel tucked off the main drag so..... peaceful nights.
A building that holds your imagination of its history with its old world charm. Found orientation easy and timely on late night return from evenings in the Thamel hub. There is a great restaurant next to the chowk that offers cooking lessons and student cooks who can make some great food and real coffee..

Friendly and helpful

Kathmandu B&B is a nice place with walk distance to Thamel.The room is nicely decorated with all the facilities. People there are very friendly and helpful, we got a very warm welcome from them, which made us feel like from home to home. They offer us pick-up service and also the package for trekking and tour to Chitwan, which is convenient. However the wifi signal in the room is not very stable, sometimes you need to use the wifi in the garden. The breakfast is nice, but you have to wait for a bit long time. We spent our first night there, and later on we chose to went back for another two nights, cause it is indeed a good place to stay.
