Staff helpful and courteous. Clean rooms. Great outdoor area and pool. Staff fixed issues immediately it was reported.

This is the worst hotel in the world. Don’t book it.
Made an unpaid reservation. I got to the hotel at 8pm. I got there and they had cancelled my reservation. I asked for a room and Joshua claimed they were fully booked. Joshua was happy for us to walk away after travelling from far away.
Joshua then tried to pun us off to another hotel. I then rebooked using hotels.com. My card was debited and the booking confirmed. I walk back to the check-in desk. Joshua refuses to acknowledge the booking even though I had been charged and received a booking confirmation. After making a fuss, Joshua then claims there’s a suite available .
I needed somewhere to stay at 9pm in a new city. Apparently, the telephone number this hotel hold on record is incorrect on this website is incorrect. Joshua begrudgingly gave me an alternate number. The agent calls and speaks to Joshua. Joshua declines my booking, while making me pay for a more expensive room.
Joshua I can say was involved in room hoarding, creating a scarcity. It feels like a racket. It is cold and inhumane.
Joshua also refused to give an elderly couple a better and quieter room. The hotel garden has music blaring. The hotel is crawling with working women.
The rooms and hallway are so stuffy and dated. I do not recommend this hotel.

STILL GOOD...

Came back here after a year back which coincided with the 10th anniversary event of the hotel.
Once the topmost hotel in town few years ago, it has lost that badge to a couple of newer outfits. Extensive renovations are ongoing all over. There was water leakage from the WHB in the bathroom onto the floor.
This hotel still remains good even though tariff/charges have gone up and buffet meal offerings have diminished.

Reservations don't matter here - Rude inconsiderate front desk staff - Incompetent Manager

Don't book here. If you are an international traveler, they will lie and say that they do not have your reservation and leave you stranded in the middle of the night for a booked room guaranteed with a credit card. I arrived at this hotel at about 9:30 PM from Asaba International Airport to check into a room I booked and guaranteed on the official Best Western Website in the States weeks ago with a confirmation number. The front desk staff said they didn't have my reservation and were fully booked. I asked to speak to a manager, and the young lady at the front desk called the guy dressed in the colorful outfit standing on the front side of the desk. He kept repeating that they were fully booked and that my reservation didn't "drop" into their system. I am not sure if he was the manager or not. I am sure that the entire staff that I interacted with at this Best Western was subpar and had no concern for my safety or regard for prior reservations. I have reached out to Best Western Global as I do not want another unsuspecting traveler to encounter the same fate of being stranded in the middle of the night with a reservation for a guaranteed booked room and nowhere to lay their head. They did not try to help me find an alternate hotel or care that I was stranded and had been dropped off by a taxi. Choose a hotel with more integrity and better customer service than this one. Might I add, I also booked the Hawthorne Suites in Abuja and the Hilton Legend and Marriott in Lagos with absolutely no issues - checked into each one without incident - they all easily pulled up my existing reservations and checked me in. Avoid this one. Here's a picture of the front desk staff and "manager" who claimed they could not find my reservation even with the confirmation number. I called Best Western Global and sure enough I definitely had a guaranteed reservation.
