Hotel Tranquilo is a great hotel for people that want a quiet, safe, relaxing spot but be within walking distance of the other attractions, bars, and restaurants.
We stayed there for 5 nights. The food was good...staff excellent, friendly and helpful...The atmosphere is relaxed even with multiple rooms are full there is enough space either on the two story palapa or in the well maintained pool to just chill. The after hours drink policy is fair and pretty awesome. (I definitely used it). Would recommend a stay here for sure.

Breakfast was good, although espresso machine wasn't working, there is no TV in the rooms, the curtains are almost see thru and the lights from out on the corridor come thru the rooms so it is not completely dark. Also, the pool was dirty, no one seemed to clean it in the 2 days I was there.

During our stay at Hotel Tranquilo. We enjoyed some of the amenities the hotel had to offered. Let me start off with our room. Room was spotless. Bed was not as comfortable but we only used our bed to sleep, not a big deal. The only down side is that Hotel pretty much closes at 7pm on a friday night. After 7pm you pretty much you're on your own. Main gate is also closed at 7pm (which you have a key if you want to go out and explore). I found it some how difficult to operate the gate and we struggled to enter and exit the property. Overall, this hotel offered great service during operation hours and like i mentioned after 7pm you will be on your own.
