Great service and security

The Hotel is small and cozy, with free breakfast and WiFi. The rooms are clean, they even have nightlamps. No air-co or hot water, but it’s definitely good price-value!
The gate is always locked, we felt very secure there. They also arrange pick ups and volcano tours.

This hotel and best avoid the whole region.

Sometimes the worst hotel you can find in Nicaragua. It's so loud here that you can't rest during the day or at night. In addition to this hideous smog: fine dust filters have not yet been heard of in Nacaragua. To this end, the window is an absolute faulty construction and cannot even be closed. The receptionists are only there to collect money, they don't help.

Not a non smoking hotel but great outdoor patio.

Reasonable prices in central Masaya close to central market and 10 minutes to artists market, supermarket, parque central and Managua-Granada shuttle bus terminal.
I have used HCSM for 3-4 years.
By mid January if I stay there I use A/C rooms.
Later into season it's too busy. Would not recommend.
It was a peaceful place to stay during pandemic.
Still OK BUT it is not a non-smoking hotel. In rooms I haven't smelled smokers.
But last night another occupant was smoking outside his room. 5 feet from my window with odor in my bathroom!
I have had to ask smokers before to stop.
Hotel night staff(to busy staring at his phone) doesn't do anything.
I complained to him after I had to tell the smoker to stop.
Day staff accept my complaint but...
There's a designated smoking area adjacent to dining area!
Interior of hostel is open air,nicely designed and roofed over but I avoid the smoke odor their by using the outdoor covered patio(with grass) for breakfast and lunch.
The only reason I return.
But it is significantly quieter then a similar priced hostel which is next to a super loud discotheque.

Good experience.

Modest but very friendly, nice and clean, pleasant and safe, central location yet not noisy, exceptionally helpful staff. Close to bus station and central markets, walking distance from the park, the artisan market and the lake. Private shower and toilet. There is no hot water in most places in Nicaragua, but it is warm enough and pleasant. TV and free WIFI. Pancakes, bananas and coffee for breakfast. Stayed 3 nights alone, and felt at home.

Best hostel and best location

I stayed there 2 nights .l wish that l could spend more time there so this was like my home.It was everything great.Great service,best location.This place on the Main Street and never heard noise.There are 2 main makets .from hostel to markets only 15 minutes by walking.At night this Main Street is very safe very quiet after 8 pm.People are incredible warm and very friendly.Don’t book your tours from Granada if you are going to stay in Masaya.Masaya volcanoes and lagoon are very close to Masaya.Granada tours expensive.Masaya tours and tax cheaper.Less tourists than Granda.I loved Masaya than Granda.All you can see in Granada churches nothing else you would see in this city.I rather spend more time in Masaya not Granada.Also this place can arrange airport transfer or just get tax to in International Aiport Managua.It takes only 45 minutes from Masaya to Managu International Airport.
