Fantastic stay on this wonderfull island

This place is fantastic and the family that runs it are extremely friendly. I should really look if I have some pictures of it because it looks 10 times nicer in real life than on these pictures. It's not too far from Moyogalpa, a nice 15 min walk. We stayed 3 nights a would have stayed longer if we could.

Great place: simple, pure and friendly

Franklin and his family take great care of their guests. Extremely clean rooms, delicious food and juices, a nice place to relax and calm down. Furthermore they organised an excellent Volcano tour guide for me and were able to rent out a decent mountain and motor bikes. Haven’t seen a nicer place in the Moyogalpa area of Isla de Ometepe.

A real place

If you're expecting luxury, hot water and perfection ... well, you shouldn't come to Nicaragua at all. But if you want to live an autentic experience, this is a perfect place. The rooms are simple but clean, and the family is lovely. We were a group of 14 people, and the last night the cooked for us and even organized a tipical dance show to entertain us.

Really good place to stay.

The hostal is located about 2km from town which makes it a nice rural place. The family are lovely and it's a place to relax. The room was basic but clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was very good. All in all we really liked the place.

Authentic, friendly

We stayed for 5 nights in June 2016. We are a couple.
The Hostal is located on the outskirts of Moyogalpa, which is fine, if like us you rent a scooter or have your own transport. Otherwise you can walk or take a bici-taxi.
The place is more of a home stay than anything as you are part of the family home. At least we felt that we were as we had the room next to their kitchen. Be prepared for a bit of farm life, all sorts of animals, cockerels crowing, kids running about and a talking parrot!
The rooms are very basic but clean and there are some hammocks and parking spaces available. There is no hot water which is mostly ok, but we had some rainy weather and would have enjoyed a hot shower, but that's just the way it is!
Generous breakfasts are included. You can request meals from the family for a very reasonable price and it is nice simple home cooked food.
Wifi worked Ok, we were surprised.
The owner Franklin and his wife were very kind and welcoming, he picked us up and dropped us off to the port, organised a scooter hire and they both gave local recommendations. I'm not sure if they speak any English, we communicated OK with our basic Spanish.
We enjoyed our stay, although more basic that what we are normally used to, that was made up by the island being a very authentic and interesting place.
